“We went there yesterday and I ordered seafood soup. The soup was amazing. I would definitely recommend it to everyone who likes seafood. My husband ordered red snapper. The fish tasted amazing, however it was pricey but worth every bit of it. We shared our dinner. The owner was very friendly and nice. We also tried their lemonades that are made from real fruits. I had guava and it was very good and my husband had pineapple and strawberry and it was great as well. The drink is big. Atmosphere is great, friendly staff. Definitely recommend everyone to try this amazing food.“

“Right as we entered, I was in love with the decor as well as the atmosphere! Filled with natural lighting, the entire restaurant was a pleasant treat to the eyes. As we took a seat at a high table, I noticed the taller, yellow chairs were pretty wobbly, but still pretty stable nonetheless. Immediately after being seated, our waiter came up and showed us our menus as well as the specials, and gave us some great company as well as an entertaining and proactive demeanor! Incredibly friendly staff all around, and the food was even better. Jonh, our waiter, accommodated us by bringing out our dishes promptly as well as cracking a few jokes! My friend and I started with the complementary beet slaw as well as a crab sushi roll and rock shrimp, which was DIVINE.Our main course, the Squid Ink Paella was incredibly delicious too, and we scraped the plate clean! My only complaint was the Paella could've used more salt, but I understand the under usage of it for those who aren't keen on salt. All in all, I would definitely return to Rocotto's, especially to try the Lobster Pasta next time!Parking: A few spots on the right side of the restaurant, but they might be filled for those who are using the beach access next to the place.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair-accessible parking, as well as regular tables rather than the high tables.“
“The women who bought this ( The old Cap’n Roy’s) have done a tremendous job of improving an old and established favorite. The food is better than ever, the atmosphere is freshened up and the service is better than ever. The menu is varied and the prices are not elevated to the moon like some other establishments on the island. Quality, service, delicious and value are spoken here. Chef Alex Lopez from the Azul Ocean Grill & Spirits inside the Holiday Inn Resort South Padre Island, Texas really goes all out in bringing a wonderful variety of items to choose from! My favorite is the spinach stuffed chicken breast. It melted in my mouth and is so good I had to go back for a second piece! The flavor was ridiculous!!!!!!! The sweetness of the pineapple and the spices of the shrimp and zucchini!!!! Ugh it was beautiful!!!!! They have line so the gulls can’t actually get on your table and snatch your meal, but a few residents were throwing scraps out to them.Our waiter was very attentive and the staff were all friendly! No complaints at all! The atmosphere is laidback and they even have a dance floor.“

“Great experience they were able to sit us down right away on a Saturday night! My old classmate came into town and wanted steak and lobster I was craving tuna and aguachiles. They had never had shrimp aguachiles it was really good, perfectly flavored and not spicy. I ordered a glass of white wine and it was a respectable amount thank you typically drink 3 glasses at dinner with friends and with this one it was my only. We enjoyed our candle lit dinner we spent 3 hours there and took some steak home and cooked it for breakfast with eggs. Definitely going back! Great service the lady was really nice and on top of our table, gave good recommendation as well.“
“This place is so great. There’s an older lady who works here…not sure her name but she is the sweetest last I’ve ever met. Service is great, food is amazing and so fresh and it’s right on the ocean so the atmosphere couldn’t get any better. Plenty of seating too. Cashier is also super fast at cutting the line quick. 10/10 would recommend.“
