Current manager at Southlake store is super friendly. I always go in & just get one cupcake since I love desserts, and she always remembers me! Even has offered to make a cupcake for me if not available. I love frosting, particularly buttercream, so the birthday surprise / funfetti cupcake with the heap of frosting is awesome. Also like the strawberry, lemon & white midnight magic and the specialty chocolate truffle with white frosting. I do prefer some flavors to others but definitely appreciate the friendly staff and that the cupcakes taste moist! I definitely prefer the taste and flavors here to Nothing Bundt Cakes.

I went with her to make my wedding cake and she did not disappoint! It was absolutely beautiful and the taste was delicious too! I will recommend Iliana for future cakes!!!

Definitely made a lot of good memories and met a lot of great people!The decorators and bakers here put a LOT of effort and care into making these cupcakes and decorating. But the sad truth is that sometimes, people don't want to treat food service workers like human beings. Incredible cake! I asked for an 80's retro themed cake for my husband's 40th and they delivered something more incredible than I ever could have imagined. I'm blown away and will go for Gigi's for all my future cake's!

We have used this Gigis for the last five years. Over the years the design quality has been hit or miss even when you provide them with sample pictures in advance. Some years the cake is very dry and some years it’s just right. Not consistent. I have noticed their designer does a better job with simple fondant cakes with few details, versus naked or buttercream cakes.When we picked up our most recent cake it seemed like a rushed job and the cake didn’t accurately resemble the sample photo, seemed unfinished, and bday recipient’s name was mis spelled. I was disappointed because to me it looked like a Costco cake, lots of blank white space that should have had design but didn’t. Nothing special. The designer took my specific feedback on the spot and did a few rounds of changes but she mentioned she was very busy and had other cakes to move onto and she was the only designer that day. The cake tasted really good but the design isn’t what you’d expect for the price you’re paying. I ended up buying some Fondant from Michael’s store to dress it up more . Overall, if your cake is one or two colors this bakery is probably fine but if your theme or vision is more specific, such as a kid’s theme/characters, I recommend looking elsewhere.

As an event coordinator, I used to always encourage people to order these cupcakes not just because they tasted great and there used to be a printed menu that had all the cool, unique flavors but also because these treats simply added "wow" to table decor!! One of the best things that separated GiGi's from the rest was the cupcakes were bigger, tastier bc of unique flavors, and the icing was piled high to the sky. I'm sure many people complained there was too much icing, but they could take it off, right ?. Anyway, since being here in TX I've tried a couple of local places but they often have weird days and hours of operation. Tonight, I decided to get some treats at my trusty GiGi's. Good god, idk what has happened! There was more box than cupcake! These couldn't even hold up to others I've tried in the area with taste and that used to not be the case :(. Everything tonight was just super sweet- no distinct oreo flavor or superb strawberry flavor that made you want to lick the wrapper lol. Icing was minimal and super hard and the cupcake crumbled like Aaron Rodgers on his Jets debut. I'm giving two stars because GiGi has lost her way and is overpriced compared to other places that are doing better. Takeaway the box and knockoff $2. Sometimes when businesses franchise and expand they forget what made them so special and stand out in the first place. Time for some self-reflection, GiGi No photos bc we tossed them, unfortunately.
