I was stationed in Japan from '04-'06 (Air Force) & I've gone to a lot of different Japanese restaurants here Stateside in an attempt to capture some of the culinary magic I had experienced in the restaurants over there. Mikoto in Southlake is the ONLY Japanese restaurant I've visited here in the U.S. which consistently gives me legit feelings of nostalgia for the restaurants I had the pleasure of experiencing 20 years ago.

I order from this place through DoorDash frequently. I'm a little particular about how I like my ramen and this place reads the instructions and has gotten it correct 100% of the time. It actually amazes me. Whatever process they have or person running the orders is doing a fantastic job. The ramen is great, I like their bulgogi, and often times I will over order so I can heat up leftovers the next day.

I hate to give a bad review, but I have to say that there are much better ramen places out there. I got the miso tonkatsu ramen and asked for spicy chili oil on the side so I could control the spice. The pork was nicely cooked, but the broth was flavorless. The sauce helped a little bit, but it wasn't very spicy. When I got the check, I saw that they charged me extra for the chili oil which I've never seen before. The prices are fine for a ramen place, but you can get much better ramen for the same price elsewhere.

Came in on one of, if not the busiest time of year and everything was beyond spectacular. Elaine is an absolutely amazing asset to this place, she took great care of us while taking care of several other tables in here. We will be coming back, thank you for such a wonderful experienceHad the Ticket to Heaven & Spicy Edamame. 2 extra spicy tonkotsu w/ extra mushrooms. 2 oolong tea. You won’t regret visiting!!

Don't order takeout here unless you have an hour plus to wait. Go into the restaurant, sit down and eat. It will be faster. I stood waiting for over an hour for food for a family of four while watching table after table come in and get their order immediately. If I hadn't paid online I would have walked out. It was VERY frustrating!
The service was great! However I got the spicy tonkatsu, the broth was good but had no spice at all, I wish it had more of a kick to it. I got the toro dynasty roll as well but none of the fish tasted like the fatty parts of the fish so that a bit of a let down. Overall the food was decent but I'm not sure if I'd return.

Please remove me from your Grubhub delivery driver platform. You let my customers order sit on your screen for 15 min before you started order. I've been here for 30 min after promised pickup time and order still not ready. This is unacceptable for customers and drivers

We were looking for a quick sushi lunch we we found this lovely restaurant. The food was prepared perfectly and the service was world class. will definitely seek this place out next time we are in. town. Maybe have to stop again before we head back north.
