This is our go to for Mexican near the woodlands. The food is always good, but make sure to check your to go orders. I don’t think they have ever gotten an order completely right the first time. And we only have 2 people to order for so it’s usually a couple enteees and an appetizer. But overall it’s a good spot that we frequent.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

Myself and 4 relatives came here on Saturday night. The service was bad from the start. We had to wait over 20 mins for beverages.I “jokingly” asked the waitress if she forgot about us.We ordered apps and dinner. We were there less than an hour and a half when a gentleman came over and asked if we could leave because they needed the table. It was strange since there was no wait at the door. This was the first time we got together since losing my grandmother and we felt very disrespected. We spent over $300 here and we have never been asked to leave any place. It’s really sad the service is so bad since the food was pretty good except the queso. The queso was nothing more than melted cheese, bland, no flavor. Thanks so much for ruining our night and losing our business.

We are new to the area and are trying to find good places in the Spring/Woodlands area. We came across this place and decided to give them a try. The location is off of 45 in a small area and the restaurant itself is not huge, but cozy. The hostess at the stand were very nice and we did have to wait, but the wait was not long at all and definitely worth it. I wanted to be very in depth with the food, but if you don’t want to know too much, the gist of it is the food is delicious and very much 5-star worthy. Overall, my husband and I decided that we would definitely visit again. As far as the items we ordered:Drinks - Colombian coffee and agua de horchata. The agua de horchata was delicious. You could taste the cinnamon, it was sweet but not too sweet, and was not watery at all.Appetizer - queso fundido with carne asada. Let me just say that this was my absolute favorite dish here. We got it with corn tortillas and the tortillas were so fresh. The meat itself was also delicious, it had a nice smoky flavor that wasn’t overwhelming.Entrees - quesabirria, barbacoa tacos, and tacos al carbon with beef fajita. We actually didn’t finish everything and had to take it home so we have thoughts on the food fresh out of the kitchen vs heated up later. At the restaurant, of course everything was hot and fresh. The quesabirria was great along with the consome, when we reheated our leftover one it was okay and it really needed the consome for flavor. The barbacoa tacos were okay when we there, but let me just say that when we reheated the one we took home, it tasted even better. When it came to the tacos al carbon, those were absolutely delicious at the restaurant but when I reheated later, the tortilla was not too great. Maybe I should’ve reheated it differently, but the meat itself was still great after being reheated. The rice and frijoles charros were also delicious and I finished those at the restaurant lol.

Okay.. y'all... I don't even know where to begin.I just got home from eating at La Cocina de Roberto off of 45 for the first time.. and uhhh..Their food was *chef's kiss.* I couldn't decide between the birria torta and the shrimp tacos, so I got the torta and one shrimp taco. My husband got the street tacos in carne asada and almost got birria, but I made him get pastor, so I could try it. I'm eating the pastor taco and I'm like, this is pretty good.. not the best I've had.. but good. Then, I eat the shrimp taco. Get corn tortillas because they make them fresh, so they act like flour. It's SO good. Green sauce is just the extra . Then, I'm like okay, let me take a bite of this birria torta. By now, I'm getting kinda full. I'm drinking a good margarita, we ordered the anafre as an appetizer. Y'all. I took one bite of that birria torta and went directly to heaven and did not pass go!!!! It was SO good. I could only eat half but the way I was licking my fingers and ate E.V.E.R.Y. bite of that half!!! Omg. It was phenomenal. On top of that, we had the waiter Max. Our chips got low, he brought another basket without us asking. My daughter drank her last sip of lemonade, while he dropped off another one. This man's service was impeccable. And you KNOW you don't get that after COVID. Even if the food had been terrible, I would go back because I haven't received that good of service, almost ever. And literally, even more than that, their most expensive plate is like $18 and they could 100% be charging $30 and people would pay. I'm talking about SEAFOOD is $18.Go. Go now. Go tomorrow. Go next week. I'm about to become a regular and I'm only asking for Max.How do I end this? What words can describe how amazing my dining experience was tonight? I'm at a loss for words at this point! All that's left is to go!!!

This is genuinely the worst “Mexican” food I have ever eaten, I would not recommend going to Cocina de Roberto. It feels like a cheap imitation of the amazing cuisine of Mexico, its below Tex-Mex. The food made our whole family have stomach pains for two days. The waitress made it super awkward during the dinner she kept peeping through the kitchen door. Would not come here again.

I absolutely love this place. The food is scratch made and there are no wrong options on the menu. That said, the Street Tacos are excellent, as are the Suiza Enchiladas, and the Fajita Burrito Bowl! Definitely get chips and guacamole. The salsas are all amazing and made from scratch. My favorite is the Habanero! For a drink, and I can't recommend this enough, the Mango Margarita is one of the best drinks I've ever had. In fact, I'm craving one right now ... it's that good. It's not even noon yet, people, and I would drink one right now. With Tajin on the rim, thank you very much! Casual and comfortable ambience, great service, excellent food. You can't go wrong. I just wish I could go more often.

The Pechuga Monterrey was fantastic!!! The taco de Al Pastor was good too, and the rice and beans and guacamole was outstanding. And the quality of the corn tortillas reminds me of mexico, definitely loved this place.

Food is always great here! If I had one criticism, it would be the birria meat, all the flavor had disappeared. It obviously wasn't being kept warm in the juice, so it lacked flavor, and the cheese on the birria tacos wasn't really melted...? The green sauce is always amazing!
