The beans tasted like milk and the rice wasn’t that great

The hubs and I are in Spring TX dog sitting my furry niece and nephews , while running errands we saw La Maria and decided to stop in for lunch. The friendly hostess got us situated and in no time a server brought us chips, and two salsas, red and tomatillo green sauce, both were mild and very tasty. I know this sounds crazy, but I think most Texans can agree, you can tell a lot about how good the food will be by the crispness of the chips, and theirs are perfect, not too thick, not too thin, able to stand up as a shovel for the salsa without wimping out! Hubs had the half order of Beef Fajita nachos which were made exactly how he likes them, each tostada has beans, cheese and steak, also they were generous with the guacamole which was a nice surprise, you know how some places give you a little blob and you better be grateful, no, this was more like 2/3 of a cup! I was craving good ol' Beef Enchiladas and they were full of the beef filling, and real cheddar cheese, something that was noteworthy to me was how fresh the cheese tasted, I will definitely visit La Maria again when in town! We were looking for a place for dinner the night we got in to town from a long road trip. La Maria had good reviews and it was close by, so we stopped in. The service was good and the food was fine, it ended up being over $90 for our family of 6, and something I thought was “weird” was the highly touted “cheese puff” which I had never heard of and the pictures made it look yummy! It was a fried corn tortilla that was made in to a bowl, turned upside down, and then a Kraft single was melted on the top.Overall it was a decent experience, but nothing so spectacular that I’m wanting to go back any time soon.The staff was polite, service was good, environment was clean and taken care of, food was tasty.

The service was horrible. If you don't like working with people find another job. I really was hoping the food would make up for it but disappointed. The food was blah, all the same flavoring. And, highly suggest checking the addition on the ticket too. Not returning.

The food was not very good. The white enchiladas had a bland taste. The shrimp enchiladas were also not so great. The plates also were way to hot when they were served. The service needs a little work. Michelada's were served to us without the server asking to pour my drink for me as a courtesy. The drinks were ok. The chips and salsa were good. There is a lot of room for improvement.

Great family friendly spot. The staff are super nice and accommodating. The food is always tasty and consistent. I've tried pretty much all dishes and have not been disappointed. Good family run business to support!

I’m not sure why but the server wasn’t very friendly, I was being nice but the response from their end was cold. And the server completely failed to mention the size of the dish. Which in this case should have been mentioned without a doubt. Will definitely not be going back.
