I recently attended the buttercream flowers class and I was very happy that I did! The instruction was excellent and I left with quite a few new skills. I also love over the top for supplies and edible images!!

Took my first cake decorating class today and had a great time. Not bad for my first attempt. Definitely going back to learn how to decorate cookies next and more cake decorating. Our teacher was super nice and I stocked up on supplies. Perfect for going with friends as well.

My daughter and I visited for a baking class. Was not impressed. I am thinking all the photos in their baking class advertising on Facebook have been taken directly from Pinterest. Red flag #1 My suggestion is have skilled decorators create their own version of the Pinterest posts. This way the people taking the courses know what they will be making and the skill level of the person teaching the course. The lady we had was I'll that night and I felt bad for her. She scooped icing from the large container with her hand ( she had on gloves) but ughhh ..... the products we used to recreate the " inspirational Pinterest photo were NOT the same. My daughter and I really thought we would be taught or use the colored buttercream on the Pinterest photos but there wasn't even a photo to look at during the class. We lived in a town that had these types of classes and they were always sold out. ALWAYS! I wondered why there was just 4 of us in the class. Now I know. Get a skilled decorator and turn make money from these classes. There's such the opportunity to make this a huge success.

The baking store has several items for cookies to cakes, icing, fondant, cake holders, cardboard bases, molds, and sprinkles. The store is clean and brightly lit, has a classroom in the back half for classes or for group decorating parties, and a bathroom on site. They can print out edible photo items for cakes as well. There is also a laser printing cutout and cake topper business added this last year to aid those who need specially made cake toppers. The owner Jenn is there most days and has several years of experience decorating cakes. She was even on the Food Network for a cake competition show. She brings her love of decorating and knowledge to the store and helps amateur, pro, and first time bakers and decorators all equally. The store has a bulletin board of local bakers if you need to find someone to make your special cake or cookie and staff can aid in finding the right baker for your needs. The birthday parties or group decorating fun classes are not like the decorating instructional courses you see on TV/technical college which I think some of the reviewers on here expected them to be so those people left disappointed for what they thought they were getting. The birthday parties are fun activity using fondant or a frosting bag to learn basic technique-- you aren't coming out of it a professional decorator. It is a good activity to expose kids to decorating and being creative.

False advertising. They are advertising using stolen images, including my own. Do not sign up for their classes because you are being taught classes that are not designed by them. They are stealing my work and claiming as their own, an awful way to do business. and unfair to students who sign up thinking they are learning an original design from this shop, when it is in fact stolen and not being taught by the true and original creator. The pink coffin cake is not theirs it belongs to Mik & Cookies LLC. DO BETTER, OVER THE TOP CAKE SUPPLIES.
