Macaroni grill was a great disappointment. I visited the one in Miami and that was a great place. But this place it was awful,awful awful. The food was horrible. The service was definitely third class but pleasant. It would be a waste of your money to go there.

We ate dinner here twice during our week stay at Waikoloa Village. Obviously, we were so impressed with the food quality, service, and value, we came back a second night. We did have a meal at the Nui Italian at the Hilton Waikoloa, and we thought the Macaroni Grill was twice as good at half the price. Well done Romano’s Macaroni Grill!

TLDR - Do yourself a favor & go anywhere else.We arrived to an empty parking lot. This should have been a clue that we were about to make a huge mistake.We walked into a completely empty restaurant. I’m not kidding. There was not a single human soul visible. We yelled out “Hello? Are you open?” This was our second chance to turn around & go anywhere else.We stuck it out & we were seated as the only patrons in the entire restaurant right next to the bathrooms. Not a single employee wore a uniform. There were random people that would walk around the restaurant in street clothes who were clearly not diners.This was one of the most bizarre dining experiences of our lives. The very overpriced food was terrible all around. This entire visit had zero redeeming qualities.PSA, if you walk into an empty restaurant, there’s usually a reason why. Turn around & run!

We had a late lunch, so it was a quiet dining experience. The lunch menu was a good value, but I wish they had more entree options. The food was delicious. Drink refills were slow. Overall, a nice lunch.

Food was rather bland but the staff was good. If you want simple Italian it’ll be fine but nothing to write home about.
I had forgotten how good Macaroni Grill was. We had the shrimp Alfredo and the steak and potatoes. Both were delicious. We also had a chocolate cake for dessert that was out of this world. Our server, Chris, was excellent. He was prompt and kept checking on us even though it was very busy. All the workers were friendly and taking care of their customers. We need to go back more often.

Worse service I've ever received. Waited over 20 mins for a drink then another 45 mins for the food. When the food came the waiter dumped my son's food in his lap. Then he just continued serving everyone else as I told him to stop and we are changing tables due to all the food spilt.

This was the worst experience from the moment we walked in. There was no one at the reception desk. We waited at least 10 minutes before a waiter came to see us, and then in this almost empty restaurant he showed us to a booth right by the kitchen. Not! Service was horrendous. There was no one behind the bar. Our waitress had to go behind the bar to pour our wine. The waitress would bring our next serving while we were still eating the first serving so we had to send it back to keep it warm and then it was dried out. The waiters and waitresses would yell back-and-forth across the restaurant. We have always look forward to going to eat here, but we will never ever again. Just horrible.
