Asked to speak to manager and he said we always charge the same (not true and not according to the menu). Wanted my $10 back and was told after they closed and balanced. Never heard. My 10 yr old daughter, 4 year old son, and I bought donuts and ate inside the store. The sugar from the donut got stuck in my daughter's throat so she went to the counter to ask for water. The employee said she only has bottled water for sale.When my daughter told me, I went to the counter to ask for just water in a cup. She said all they had was water from the sink, which was fine with me. She put the sink water in a styrofoam cup and told me that it cost .50 cents.I was livid b/c while my daughter was choking, they were still trying to sell me sink water. That's ridiculous!!! I have been going here for years, but never again. When a business doesn't have care or concern for small children, that's where i draw the line.

She wouldn't get off the phone as if that wasn't frustrating she starts talking bad about me in Spanish laughing and smiling everytime i asked something. This was Wed. Placed an order on SHIPLEY'S website (Dulles location). Arrived to p/u my order and Cathy states there is no order. Meanwhile I have order number, email confirmation and pending bank transaction. NEVER AGAIN!!

I wish I could give this location a 0 star. I just left this Dulles Avenue, Stafford, Texas location for a refund. My 1/2 dozen glazed donuts had mildew spots on them. The elder lady at drive thru window ask if I wanted to exchange for something else, No!!!! She says it's rust from the machine. The younger lady says the owner says the older dough is OK to prepare and serve. Not mildew, not when there's black spots. That's very cheap and dangerous of you to serve your customers expired food. I will not be returning to this location again. Everywhere you go guys, pray over your food. We just don't know.
As a native houstonian, shipleys is the legendary place to get donuts. You HAVE to try the hot glazed donuts in the morning. Pro tip: ask for the hot glazed donuts in the back and they'll get you hot, fresh donuts! Other than those, the chocolate iced and the cake donuts are favorites too. Service was really fast and kind too. Highly recommend when visiting Houston. Fair warning as i look at other reviews that shipleys is not a fancy place inside. Its simple, small, cheap and fast. But the donuts are a 5/5 still!

They are unsanitary here. I will go to another location. They don't wash their hands and I saw the lady wipe her face with her hands and then just put a paper liner in my box without washing them.

Most of the time, I can get a good donut and good customer service. The price of their donuts are higher than some Shipley’s I’ve been to but I think it’s because there’s a high school across the street with guaranteed customers.

It's a donut shop!! My kids love it.
