Inconsistent. Disappointing.I visit a restaurant multiple times before leaving a review. Here it is.Service is Inconsistent. Sometimes you get a good server most of the time it feels as if you are bothering them. They MIGHT check on you once (if you are lucky) between bringing your food and bringing your check. Also, they don't know how to make change if you are paying with cash.Food is decent but always slow out of the kitchen.FLIES EVERYWHERE!!! I've been here when they open, when they close, winter, summer etc. Always flies! Wondering what it's like in the kitchen if they are this bad in the dining area. Health inspector would have a field day here.Be prepared for partially separate restrooms. If you are not paying attention, you will be embarrassed.Refills on soft drinks are not free! They don't tell you this ahead of time. Paid $3 for a diet coke refill.Most of the place is not ADA compliant. It would be difficult to dine here if I was in a wheelchair, used a walker, or had another mobility issue.If you like dogs, you will like this place. Most of the time you will trip over one or two (or the water bowls they set out for them) navigating to your table.One last thing, the employees park in the prime spots out front to make the place look busier than it actually is.All in all, I paid $21 for a basic burger with fries and a diet coke.If you visit here, I hope you have a better experience than I have. (Remember to bring a fly swatter.)

A very fun and friendly place with live music and a full bar. Lots of parking, a cigar bar out back, outdoor seating area with corn hole, and a stage behind the building. The wait staff and bartender were kind and helpful in selecting our order. The food was hot, fresh, and quick. Def will be back. Check it out recommended!

The food was delicious but they charged us for a sandwich we didn't get and an undisclosed credit card fee which is currently illegal in the state of Texas. When we confronted them they refunded the sandwich but didn't really address the credit card charge situation.

Perfect pit stop! Very relaxing and welcoming with great food. We went here last Thursday evening with friends after driving in and setting up camp at Dinosaur Valley State Park. We were hot, tired, and had littles that were full of adventure energy. Blackies had plenty of room for them to explore while we had cold drinks and were able to unwind...then we all ate so much ? Burgers were ? we talked about not cooking at camp at all and just eating there for every meal ?Also, the best part was the sever letting us know the sunset was happening. We all took off outside and witnessed one of the most spectacular sunsets I've ever seen.Thank you for an unforgettable experience, definitely will be a go to the next time we're in town!

Cool little hideaway bar with a decent bar selection and cool view overlooking a scenic valley.
Our server, Kallie was fantastic/friendly and helpful. We are in town one night and chose Blackies based on the good reviews and were surprised that it exceeded expectations in atmosphere and quality. It is a well run restaurant and obviously by someone with years of experience. Very clean restrooms and attention to detail. The menu is simple and the food was excellent. Don’t pass it by give it a try!

Unique bar atmosphere. I stopped because the parking lot was full. The first impression was that it was just a biker bar. The live music was good. I have to say my expectations dropped, so I wasn't expecting much from the food. What I got was a level above the best hamburger joints anywhere in the county. The BBQ Bacon Burger was phenomenal. The service was good with a pretty busy room. It was a welcome treat for a stop based on nothing more than a parking lot full of cars. Worth the $18 Burger.

This place was very accommodating to a large group that was in town to sell land. Came in with about 25 people and were able to sit us in the back all together. Food was great and the servers were trying really hard to keep up with all our orders and drinks at the same time while still accommodating other patrons. Solid beer selection. Really cool new soft T shirts. Games in the back and an area to play outdoor games as well. Very cool decor with it being an old gas station.
