Owner was so sweet! Food was great! Loved that I found a restaurant with Teo Chew dishes too!! My kids devoured the green beans and oyster pancake appetizer dish. Husband loved the Mongolian beef and curry chicken. The sweet potato pancakes, walnut shrimp, and hot and sour soup were yummy too!

Food was so gas. Salt and pepper squid was delectable. Ellen and Xindian are the best servers ever. Best place to eat in Sugar Land/ Missouri City Area! Worth the drive!

We went again 10/10/2023 … it was great! The food was good, authentic! Didn’t expect it in Sugar Land. We had the sautéed oyster with ginger & scallion, half a marinated duck, & the sautéed chicken with eggplant. All delicious! It’s not a fancy restaurant but clean and neat. Our bill was $57 for three, not bad.

The food is quite delicious and authentic. We ordered Marinated Meat Combination, seafood porridge, stir fried noodle. Food come with good portion. The host is also very friendly. Next time we plan to try their hot pot

It is located in the same strip shopping center as my family's favorite Chinese restaurant, Jade Garden. My Mom and I decided to check it out for lunch. We ordered fish fillet congee at $8.98. from the main menu and three dishes from the lunch menu. The lunch menu dishes were eggplant in garlic sauce, beef bitter melon, and fish fillet in basil sauce. Each dish was priced at $8.95. Each dish was smaller and cost a dollar more than Jade Garden. The meal tasted fine, but it was too heavy handed with the MSG for my liking. Table service was slow with only one person working in the front of the house. The cook had to come out to help with water refill and busing. My Mom wanted to return to try some other dishes, but not me. I am sticking with Jade Garden for my Chinese food craving.

We had the clam n oyster congee (生?鲜蜆粥), very tasty! The ma.po tofu was also good. We also like he green leafy vegetables. Service is so so. There are two big round tables each for 10-12. This is a simple eatery, not focused in atmosphere or decor.

Really Nice and friendly customer service and really good food too. We got a take out from here and we got a lot of items but the ones that stood out to me was the fried rice that had everything in it and the pad Thai they had. Both we really flavorful definitely try this place out especially the fried rice that is the best dish I had out of all the other!!

Very authentic ChaoZhou Chinese cuisine! The marinated delights were incredibly delicious. Service was also very efficient while not compromising on quality. Although they don't actually seem to serve buns and that the English name Buns House seems to be a remnant of the last restaurant's title.Note: at the time of this review, the yelp menu doesn't correctly reflect the actual in restaurant menu (again, it seems the current owner hasn't updated the menu on yelp yet, but googling this store does yield a website that features the correct menu)

Great array of items from clay pots, congee, Bao, teochew specialties, hot pot to more and very hearty portions! My family and I really enjoyed the oyster pancake which was perfectly crispy on the outside and the inside was soft with a good amount of oysters. The diced beef with black pepper sauce is also a must-get; very tender and flavorful, perfect with rice. Atmosphere was cozy and the service was amazing, will come back!

Nice clean restaurant. Typical mom and pop Chinese place. Food was tasty. Had the duck, pickled cucumbers, chives. Would definitely go again.

I go here very often. All the food is really good and service is impeccable. Best dish by far is their hong siu tofu, way better than egg tofu. Its just the nature of the dishes though. Atmosphere is also very homey, which I thoroughly enjoy.
