Giving 2 stars because the waitress was nice. Food has no taste, you make better at home. The nachos were a joke (order half and see for yourself). Steak fajita meat was too fatty as well. Too pricey for portion size also.

I love this restaurant!! The food is great and the atmosphere is good. The restaurant is physically large and can accompany a large reservation. The staff is friendly and nice. The food comes out pretty quick. My family comes here all the time.

The serving of fajita meat for their tacos was just sprinkled and not that of the cost of the plate. Service was not there. Was giving plate of main dish and the waiter didn't even bother to refill my drink until I was on my second bite and had to ask another waiter to give me a refill this continued until I finished. Never again.

I eat here frequently as I am the manager at one of the neighboring stores. BUT THE MANAGEMENT AT LA TAPATIA IS RACIST !!! I WILL NEVER DINE HERE AGAIN. Upon leaving work I experienced car trouble in the back of the store where plaza employees park. Initially an older man came to offer help and jump my car to no avail, in what I THOUGHT was a genuine act of kindness. But in reality he called the police and told them there’s a suspicious black man sitting in his car with the door open. Luckily the police officer was understanding of my situation, but in todays climate this could have went VERY WRONG !! I’m extremely disappointed in this man who is a minority himself as a Hispanic individual. And to think I looked him in his eye, shook his hand, and thanked him for being so kind, only for him to turn around and do this.

Sub-par, "authentic" Mexican food for high prices. Management also obviously has some kind of prejudice towards african Americans. Plenty of other Mexican restaurants in the area that are way better. Don't waste your time !!

Food is good but it should be better due to its location and prices.

Honestly, I'm not one for trying new places, but holy cow, this place was amazing! People complain about flavor put some salt on it sissy's, they are just watching out for your blood pressure. You overweight Americans should be thankful. Anyway, my grandma is in the ICU, and I literally left her to eat here with my dad, and wow, I'm going back with a full tummy. I definitely recommend the street tacos, and if you want to make it great, bring your own pink salt, oh yeah, and that salsa is amazing.

Tasty food, great service, acceptable prices. We used to visit the location in Montrose and liked it. Now that we moved to Sugar Land we tried this location and it's just as good food and service wise and had a nicer building. We will be back.
