Food was okay, service was pretty good, atmosphere was unique and fun. Not really anything like it in Temple.

First time visiting, the rolls were hot and fresh and the BBQ good. I really enjoyed the coleslaw too and our server was very nice.

Had the family meal to go. Sausage was great, fried okra was crispy, chopped brisket was fatty, Cole slaw ok, homemade bread slices great!

We started in the drive-thru we had never been there before. We asked for a minute and every few seconds the lady kept asking. What do you want? Finally I spoke up and said we haven't been here before again and told her to wait. Next thing I know a man's on the line asking us what we want. So rude! Beyond rude actually. So we ended up leaving the drive-thru and going inside to order our food. The inside service was amazing. The waitress inside was kind and yes, while she rushed us a little bit she still gave us our time to figure out what we wanted and she answered our questions about the food. The place was clean. The bathrooms were clean. They were pretty kid-friendly. The only thing that maybe I didn't necessarily like about the place was that it was a little bit dark in there meaning lighting, but the vibe of the place was great. It was very Western/ cowboy/ Indian type of decor which I thought was really cool and so did my kids. They also have a lot of cool stuffed animals in there which my kids love to look at the different animals and point them out and tell me what they were. Food wise everything was great. Everything had great flavor. Good taste. And the food came out quickly and warm.Parking: I don't know the number of parking spots but they had lots of parking and drive thru was easily accessible.Kid-friendliness: The hostess was nice and brought us highchairs and boosters However I was disappointed they didn't have any carseat slings like most restaurants do. So we just had to turn over the highchair and use it as a carseat slingWheelchair accessibility: I'm pretty sure this place was wheelchair accessible. I can't quite remember but I think the ramp was to the side

oh, so ashia

starting this off by mentioning i have been a server/bartender for almost 15 years, so my frustration about my visit comes with the understanding of how the service industry works & knowing the bare minimum of what to expect at any restaurant.this was our first time visiting Clems, & we will never be back. when we got sat, our server was very nice! she got our drinks & our order quickly. we waited for "fresh rolls," which came out slightly warm, but very hard. we waited almost 20 minutes (not an exaggeration) for our food, which isn't a huge deal if they had been busy, but we were one of the four tables in the restaurant, & the only ones who had ordered at that time (as everyone else already had their meals). the food came out barely room temperature. my partner decided to eat hers, but i called over the server to ask if they could warm mine up. when the server brought the warmed up plate out, the brisket was 75% fat. i started to try & piece together a bite, & decided to try my Mac & cheese, which was also cold - not even room temperature, the cheese was hard, the noodles were hard, it was all a mess. we sat for over 10 minutes, watching our server sit on her phone, or talk to other servers, not once did she come to check on our meals, ask if we needed drink refills, nothing. at this point, i was annoyed & after waiting for her to look over, i asked to speak to a manager. after sending out a very young kid, i expressed my issues with our meal, he apologized, discounted our meal & ran our card. the manager (who's name i assume is Miguel? not because he told me, but because that's the name on the receipt) barely made eye contact, was picking at his nails, & acted as if he couldn't be bothered. when he brought the receipt, he didn't even give us a pen to sign &/or tip (which i would have, being a server, i never leave $0, even when the food/server isn't great, but i understand the food not being warm was not her fault, so i still would have left at least 15%), so we left.overall, the service is mid, the food (even after being warmed up) was not good, & the overall experience was such a let down. i come from a small town, where supporting small businesses matter, but the server (who never told us her name) & manager here just did not give that type of experience. i understand bad days happen, but this restaurant seems to not care about their customers or their food quality. i would not recommend going here, & will not be back.

ZERO stars, if you could pay real $ to leave negitive stars I WOULD..Just because the food "looks good" does not mean it is! first off all carbonated foutain beverages were flat. So I ate dinner without anything to drink... 2dly.. where was the manager?!?! I complained 3 times and still did not get to speak to a manager. My food was cold, like you left it on a dining plate on your counter all day. Food "looked" great.. after reading all the good reviews, I looked forward to this place all week... I left half my plate untouched, and I never even received my 2d side.. even upon mentioning I never received it, it was not even offered. He pnly ate his because he was starving.. even his salad dressing was warm like it had been sitting all day unfridgerated. I've only ever had worse food and service than this once in my life. What a major disappointment. Do not recommend and obviously won't be coming back.

Clem's has been a Temple institution for 60 years for a reason. Good southern/comfort food, steaks, and barbecue all under one roof in a nice setting at a decent price.

Apparently, the cook walked out while we were dining. At least, that's what the waiter said. 3 party members order hamburgers, 3 hamburgers came, and none of them were correct. They also were not marked. So they had to go through them to try and find the right burger for the right person. Except none were correct. 1 was sent back. Supposedly, that was when the cook decided to walk out.About 20 minutes later, a correctly made burger was brought. Everyone else had already finished eating. My food (brisket and sausage, green beans) was cold.Refills were few and far between. Someone who is diabetic ordered an unsweet iced tea and got sweet tea instead. Told waiter, he said he'd bring an unsweet, and then forgot. That said, every time he came to our table, he was literally running. And did eventually bring the correct drink. Seems like they were short on wait staff. Not going to flag poor service when the man was obviously trying.

We came to Clems after seeing it online while we were here from Iowa for a show. 10 out of 10 ! The food was absolutely great and the service was fantastic. Our drinks were always filled quickly My Son , Husband and I all had steaks of some sort and WOW they were some of the best restaurant steaks we have ever eaten! When we are in the area again we will definitely be back !! Thanks Clem Mikeska's Bar-B-Q for the amazing experience
