Saltgrass Steak House at The Colony is an exceptional restaurant. My wife and I came from New York for a business trip to Dallas and decided to stop by for lunch. The quality of the food was remarkable. I highly recommend the BBQ baby back ribs; they were phenomenal. My wife had a steak, and it was simply fantastic. The service was outstanding. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of our server, but she was a young lady with glasses, and she made our day unforgettable. The level of service, professionalism, and competence she provided us was amazing. I highly recommend this top-notch restaurant

For being a steakhouse, I expected our steaks to arrive cooked perfectly. They were far from that. I don't send back food, well, because I didn't want spit in it when I get it back. It felt rushed like the cooks just threw it together. Sad because I wanted to like this place.

Saltgrass is a chain restaurant owned Landry's Inc. While some of the brands in the Landry's family can feel a bit too casual (I'm looking at you, Bubba Gump and Joe's Crab Shack), Saltgrass maintains a more refined environment without being stuffy. That's not what matters though. What matters is the food at Saltgrass is consistently excellent and at a great value. I frequent this particular Saltgrass for lunch multiple times a month. It's hard to beat the lunch prices for great beef and chicken options. The service is always spot-on and I never feel rushed. (And BTW, their brussel sprouts side dish is worth the trip.)
My appetizers were a bit to spicy. Even with ranch. Seeds a trend now days.

Traveling on business and stayed at a nearby hotel in walking distance. Was super impressed with the food and service here. Top notch. Got the chopped steak and it was incredible. My favorite was the house salad. Served really really cold. Will be back when back in Plano on business.

Dined in on a somewhat busy Friday night, but didn't feel rushed nor had to wait for seating. Entire experience was great. Our server was Nathan and we found him to be very friendly and attentive. I noticed a lot of teamwork between the staff which I believe made everything seem so smooth. The food was very, very good - each person had something different and cooked to varying degrees and each plate was perfect.
