Lately, the Six Pines location has dropped off my favorite list - I've been going since they first opened. Go knowing this is a very busy store and the parking is usually a challenge. Inside, it appears much smaller that other, newer HEBs and feels over crowded. The isles are also clogged with those large curb side pickup carts. Perhaps its due to the store's size, but it seems they have more of these than other locations. There is also frequent restock activity during peek hours adding to the congestion. In spite of this, my favorite items are frequently out of stock or they simply don't handle the varieties found in other locations. My theory is they're a victim of their own success. When the store was built, the volume of business wasn't fully anticipated. Due to the location, there isn't room to grow and I've seen at least two attempts to reconfigure the store. They're doing it again now and it's a mess. All of this has me feeling I'm in the way of the staff, like a non-playable character just there to spend a ton of money. It's a bad vibe.

I am obsessed with HEB and this is one of my favorite locations. Pros: There is always an excellent selection of produce, butchered meats, and a really great bakery. Everyone is friendly and helpful and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. With the self checkout option you can get in and out quickly. Cons: This location stays busy. It may take a minute to find a decent parking spot.

Have to go in store to look at catalog. The lady in the bakery refused to give me options over the phone or find the number when I gave her the exact name of the cake from the online catalog. You only have ONE paw patrol cake - duh! Also require 48 hours notice when website says 24 hours. Do not use this location!!

I just ordered favor from here because I don't have a vehicle at the moment. And they gave me milk that expires in three fucking days. Fuck you heb. A bunch of lazy fucks.

After 4:00PM This location has no dedicated parking(everyone parks at HEB and walks elsewhere for the entirety of the evening/night despite the signs saying it's not allowed) as well as employees that turn customers away after spending 30 minutes trying to find a parking spot, all because of an expired ID which I haven't had time to renew yet. I looked up the company's policy on alcohol sales online(they wouldn't answer the phone) and found that their employee told me inaccurate information about the store's policy and didn't put the last bottle of barrel aged sour cherry micro brew I was purchasing back on the shelf.

Purchased 6 pounds of the boiled crawfish. If this had been my first time eating crawfish, It is not very likely that I would ever eat it again. They were just ok, kind of dry and bland to sum it up... I assume they cut back on the spices to meet the tastes for everyone, but for me, more work than they were worth. HEB itself is great, I would purchase the live crawfish, but there are way too many good crawfish places to suffer through that again.

One of the things I miss most about living in Texas, are H-E-B grocery stores. I was in town for a business trip, and took every opportunity to pop over to this location in the Woodlands neighborhood. This particular place had all of the familiar hallmarks of why I think H-E-B is one of the best grocery stores in America. It is an enormous facility, and all of the sections from produce, seafood, bakery, beer/wine, etc are very thoughtfully laid out. IMHO, the locations in Austin where I used to live are slightly better since those stores have a larger prepared food options. But this location also had fresh in-store prepared corn tortillas (which I bought a package back with me to East Coast) as well as a many "grab and go" offerings such as rotisserie chicken, sandwiches, salads, etc. Staff gladly directed me where to find the necessities such as bottled water (the tap water in Houston is awful), creamer for my morning coffee, and granola bars for snacking. Are H-E-B's upscale or "fancy" like a Whole Foods (which interestingly enough started in Austin, TX)? No, but they have great prices, incredible selection of products, and friendly service. TIP: Don't forget to also pick up a bag of the in-store fried tortilla chips. Tastes way better than any of the Frito Lay mass produced chips.

There was not a single communication sent to me about my son's birthday cake. They did not have the design we picked out. I came for pickup and no one knew what was going on. They told me someone went to another store to get the supplies. That it would only take 15 mins. After 30 mins of standing and waiting I asked again. I got told by the manager over the phone that the other store didn't have it either and what did he want me to do. Absolutely ridiculous literally the first time using this bakery. Do better or at least communicate with the customer.

This H‑E‑B location is the best! Larger than other H‑E‑B locations that I have visited. Has everything you want in a market! Clean facility with large parking lot. Offers everything from fresh produce, meats, seafood, bakery, deli, and cooked foods section! Friendly employees!

These guys really have their scheisse together. They consistently are friendly and helpful. One of their products I enjoy most is their generous servings of sushi.
