I love me some Luby’s. Seriously feels so nostalgic every time I enjoy some fried fish, mashed potatoes and spinach. ? I wish the chocolate icebox pie had been a bit fresher as the crust was a little soggy…hence the 4 stars. But all in all…I’ll be back.

Awesome place. The food is amazing. We came on the 4th of July. The place was busy but the service was great.

The best food I've had from a Luby's restaurant in a very long time. It was hot, fresh, and delicious!! I love Luby's and I'm glad they're still around. But a majority of the locations need to get their stuff together and realize quality is important.

Service was horrible.Time and date: 06-08-2022, 2:00pmSo after being on the phone for about 10-15 min waiting for someone to pick up the phone to place a to-go order the phone system was trying to make me leave a voice mail to get a call back from the manager. Like WTH?! I'm in a rush trying to place an order to be in and out quick. Then I get there, head over to the to-go orders area and after having that (I don't really care attitude) they told me to head over to the main line where you choose the food. It just wasn't very convenient at all when all you want is to pick up and go. The workers just don't seem to have a good attitude, like they don't care very much. I do give 5stars to the Hispanic guy that saw me and decided to help me out.I won't go back again.

I want the old Luby's food back! I got a LuAnn platter with 2 salads and a drink and it was $18.00+. My half piece of fish wasn't edible, with a gummy crust and gray fish that had an offputting smell and the cabbage was so tough I couldn't cut it with a knife. The saddest part was the fruit salad, which has always been wonderful at Luby's. This time it had squishy grapes and the peach slices were tiny and had turned brown. The green cottage cheese salad was as wonderful as I remember, so I ate that.Over all a really bad experience for that much money. Y'all either need to fix it or just close it down!

Old school cafeteria. We ordered way too much but chicken fried steak, fried chicken, biscuits and vegetable sides were good. It's an experience.

Alot if tars dirty with dishes piled up. Corn was not even cooked so replaces with good Ole macaroni..

Chicken was fye! Reminded me of school man, always love my lunch and time there! Employees made it feel like home with my momma. Plenty of seating and had a fun time with friends!

It breaks my heart to give Luby's only 2 stars - this is the cafeteria where we take my grandmother for lunch every third Tuesday, after her nail appointment. And it's one of the few places we still go that has been around since I was a kid, growing up it was always a family favorite. Sadly, the service and quality of food has not stayed the same after all these years. First, for those unfamiliar with Luby's, it's a cafeteria - meaning that you queue as soon as you come in, grab a tray and silverware, and select your meal from the long array of options as you move down the line. Sorta like lunchtime in public school, if you grew up in Texas (do they still do that?? No idea). Growing up, my parents and grandparents always chatted with the manager while we were checking out at the end of the long row of delicious offerings, and it was a very family-oriented little place. We arrived around noon-ish, hopped in line and were soon off to the races - the extensive salad bar, where you used to be able to select from a wide variety of toppings and lettuce to build your own, has been replaced by pre-boxed salads with only lettuce and cherry tomatoes. Even the jello salads were pre-boxed! Next, you select your main entree - my go-to since childhood hasn't changed: Lu-Ann (a combo plate with a main entree, plus 2 sides and a roll) with fried fish, mashed potatoes, buttered corn and a dinner roll. The servers plate your meal and pass it to you at the end of the line, where you can then pick up a dessert (sadly, now in boxes), drink and condiments, then check-out and select your table. Check-out was a bit hectic, as they now have 2 registers but the additional one requires you to pick-up your tray and move it across the aisle - not a big deal, unless you're dining with 2 companions who can't pick up their own trays. The insistence from the cashier that we move meant I had to pick up my tray, plus 2 more and transfer them before paying, only made more frustrating by the fact that they simply watched me do this without offering any assistance. Once seated, a server (this is new) greeted us at the table and that was the last time we saw him - I'm not sure when servers were introduced, but I couldn't quite see the value. My go-to Lu-Ann plate looked the same, but lacked in taste what I recalled from many past visits. The fried fish was moist and not overcooked, but the breading lacked any flavor whatsoever, and I think may have been a frozen filet simply reheated. The corn was undercooked and under salted, with no flavor and reminded me of cardboard pellets. The mashed potatoes were dry, under salted and likely from a box mix. The roll was under baked, making it gummy when chewed. It was all just terribly disappointing, considering how much we used to look forward to Luby's as a rare treat. I hope they turn things around, and soon because there are too many other enticing options in The Woodlands.

I was disappointed I tried something different than I normally get and grabbed a pie has to decipher what was what as nothing was labeled. The Cajun tilapia was cold. They normally ask if we want cheese on top of broccoli they never asked that either. Figured being at the woodlands better food better service that was not the case.

From my Uber delivery driver perspective. I cannot recommend this place when the employees treat us like garbage. Lie after lie about their performance. The employee asked me to contact the client about a missing item, stated to the employee it's not my job. I deliver items from place "A" to place "B" nothing more. They wanted me to make a decision for the client. Stated for them to call the client as I had no right to make any decisions. They had refused, asked to speak to a manager, he refused to contact the client. Straight up lied to me about not being able to contact the client and said if he lets me see his Uber device that I would show him the client's phone number. He had refused to get such info. If he or the staff treats people likes this then what else are they doing to the food? Oh hey manager, tell your subordinates that wiping the utensils with bleached rags is not a form of cleaning. Ever heard of cross-contamination? Yeah it's a thing!

The food is delicious, just as I remember... the experience not so much. The salads are all in plastic to-go containers. The check out is inefficient. The cashier was on his phone while I was patiently waiting for something to happen with the credit card machine. Then he says, "Oh, sorry," and finally hit the button to send my charge to the machine. The trays were all chipped and ratty. Same for the dinnerware, napkins, tables, booths, chairs. Luby's may still be alive but it's barely breathing.

Luann plate is still going after 30 years! They are so helpful when I do my Favor orders. The food always smells and looks fresh and home cooked. They have family style meals. But surprised they did not have fried Chicken.

I went to the drive-thru to, and asked how much a dozen rolls to go was. The to-go person replied “4.31.” I said okay, I’ll take 3 dozen. My total was upwards of 18 dollars, which didn’t add up. I paid, and my receipt said Cornbread” on it, not rolls. I shrugged it off, but then received cornbread, not rolls. I pulled back around, and told the to-go person. He snaps back with “You said 3 dozen cornbread”. I said, “You told me a dozen rolls was 4.31, right” he replied “Yes” I then replied, “I was charged 18 dollars for what should’ve been 12.93” he told me to pull up to the window. What looked like the manager came up and I relayed the story. I gave him my receipt and he said “They are the same price.” I told him, “the math doesn’t add up if it’s 4.31 a dozen, does it? It should be 12.93 before tax” I then tell him that I don’t care about the refund, just the rolls would be okay. I got no apology, and was treated as if I made the mistake. Pretty petty in my own opinion. Just own up please, thank you.

Food was fresh hot and delicious... Our server was so sweet. I wish I would've paid more attention to her name... She deserves recognition.. Definitely going back... Maybe even tomorrow ?
