My husband tried on an afternoon when no one else was there but us and it still took 20 minutes for them to make his grilled cheese hot dog. The hot dog was nasty. They sort of slapped a slice of American cheese on there but that's not what lost our future business. It came with tomato soup and my husband stood there watching as they cracked open a can of Campbell's tomato soup and poured it into the bowl before microwaving it. Unbelievable — not even worth including on the menu if that's what customers can expect from a 'gourmet' hot dog place.

Looked like a normal hotdog and bun and the bread didn’t seem very fresh. I did enjoy eating the Chicago dog tho. It’s hard to find any hot dog place around here anymore. I’ll go again if the kids want to but I do like 403.

So I really wanted to write a good review because the woman who was running the show is genuinely a nice person but unfortunately I just can't . I ordered a Chicago Dog with a side of onion rings and two grilled cheese sliders for my kids. First off, it took nearly 45 minutes to prepare and it was the only order at the time. The hot dog was on an generic bun that was exposed to air for a while because it was kind of crusty and fell apart in four pieces as soon as I picked it up. The hot dog itself was like a shriveled up hot dog that you would expect from a gas station. There was no relish on it and the sport pepper tasted stale. I was highly disappointed for the $8.00. Moving on to the onion rings, they were way undercooked, and for the price there were only about six onion rings, very disappointing. The grilled cheese sliders were nothing to write home about, it was neat that they were made of waffles but the kids said they didn't really taste like anything and that the one I make at home were a lot better. Overall I feel I could have drove home made everything myself in 1/3 of the time, it would have tasted better and I could have save the money and taken the kids out for ice cream instead. Hopefully the quality increases or I don't see the business surviving with so many other places in the price range that knock it out of the park on food quality. I'll watch the reviews and if I see some consistent positive reviews I will give them another shot but until the I will spend my money elsewhere.

Got a chili dog, weiner was shriveled and cold. Took 15 mins for a hotdog I could have made myself at home. Not worth a dollar. The whole Tomball food truck experience was bad. Never going back!

Very Shriveled up hotdogs. Appeared to be overcooked in a microwave or something. Definitely not worth over $7.

I haven’t tried the hot dogs yet, but the french fries they make are perfectly salty, warm, and crispy. My 5 year old devoured his kids hot dog in seconds, so It seems they are really good too.

This was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at any food truck anywhere. $14 for a Chicago Dog and Amaze Balls (basically Cheese Tator Tots with bacon and other toppings). Took almost 30 minutes, hot dog was barely warm, bun was stale on the sides and completely wet and soaked through the bottom, fell apart completely after the first bite. Amaze Balls were not cooked at all, ice cold. When I talked to the guy in the truck, he said there was an issue with the fryer, to which I asked, why did you take 30 minutes to put this together if you knew it wasn't cooked correctly. He said nothing, offered a refund. I said fine, he try's and what do you know, there's a problem with the machine, can't issue a refund. B********

Nothing special about this hot dog. Service was great but food was meh. 403 rocks though and i love to hang there. Dexters should go though. I get a better hotdog from 7/11.

Been wanting to try the fares at the 403 for awhile, but never made it out til this Saturday, May 22, 2021. Boy, I was not disappointed at all. Ordered from a few different trucks in this cool, unique and fun little "park" of food trucks, but the absolute highlight was my Grilled Cheese Dog from Dexter Dogs. Sorry, I didn't snag a photo before hand. It was super cheesy, which is how I love my dogs, with a VERY high quality and delicious hotdog on a pretty good bun. I got the tomato "soup" for dipping, which at first taste was pretty plain and bland, but once I started in on the dog, I wouldn't have wanted it any other way, it would've taken away from the super delicious hotdog. Long story short, I can't wait to go back and try everything on Dexter Dog's menu. Very impressed.

I LOVE a good hot dog. I stumbled across Dexter Dogs while trying to check out another food truck that I found on Yelp in the same food truck park. At first glance, there was no line. Even though I already ordered from a different trailer, that little voice whispered to me, "hey you. You over there. Yeah, you. Come here. Come order a hot dog. Yes, you need one. Now." Well, after some nagging - I listened to that voice. I ordered a Seattle Dog. First thoughts, the dog : price ratio didn't exact line up for me. Even though I had a dog with bacon, cream cheese, and onions - I'm not sure $7.75 was a good value given that the price only included the hot dog with no sides. On quality and flavor, the hot dog was good. I enjoyed the bacon as an addition to the dog. Had I not ordered from a different trailer, I would have had to order more food to fill up. Running through hypotheticals, a meal for myself would have ended up costing north of $25 once you include a drink -- for one person. So, in summary - I'm biased towards a good hot dog. This place has the goods - you're just gonna pay handsomely to get your hands on one.
