This was our first visit to The Refuge and we loved it all. Our table started with calamari and steak bites. Both were cooked and presented wonderfully. We had filet with crab, braised short ribs, the halibut special and the steak burger. Every dish was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Our dessert choices were cheesecake, chocolate mousse dish, the bread pudding and a spiced old fashioned. The presentation of the bread pudding was a show. Loved it! We woke up this morning talking about our next trip and what we would order. This is definitely on our list now.

The food was good. I went there for my birthday with my husband and some family members. The ambiance was dark when you walked in and felt crowded. I was expecting more choices for food and there was way more alcohol than food selection. I was expecting that because the restaurant has “steakhouse” in the name that it would have more of a selection. Our waiter was very dry and made smart comments at one of my family members so it was awkward at times. Also, the prices per entree was more than average. Entrees are around $30-70.

We did not have the best experience, our waiter wasn't great. My husband‘s food came out raw and he didn't even have his shrimp on his plate. We love the place. They had music on the patio and they didn't make things right. Yes, we will probably go back again.

My Mrs. And I went here for a date night that was long over due (4 kids) and it was absolutely an amazing night out.The atmosphere was amazing, the attentiveness of the staff was STELLAR, and the food was beyond delicious.We will definitely be coming back. If you are looking for a quality place to for a night out or just a good meal with great service Refuge Steakhouse should definitely be at the top of the list!

We had such a great time outside on the patio listening to live music and enjoying great food and drinks. Our waiter Eric was so accommodating and attentive and made it a great experience for myself, my parents and my daughter- who really enjoyed all of the above mentioned things! Will definitely be back to this little gem.
Sat outside and there was very good live music. Service was excellent. Fiod was a little disappointing, fried green tomatoes that were more red than green, salmon croquettes that had very little flavor other than the smoke flavor from the salmon and red snapper that was tasty but wasn't the best cut of fish I've had. We will probably try again, but may do steaks next time.

Our server, Nick, was the ultimate guide, navigating us through the extensive drink menu, and dinner options. All of his suggestions were absolutely incredible. He made the evening memorable for our dinner party. We will request him by name next time we make reservations!

They seemed off. Missing some of the table ware. No beverage menu. Everyone around us was offered bread, we were not. Food was very good. Just the service level was off. Very loud inside. Really had a hard time having a discussion and speaking with the staff.
Food was excellent. Waiter was very knowledgeable. Our table did the sampler, steak, red snapper, macaroni and cheese, Brussels sprouts, risotto, cheese grits, and mashed potatoes. Dessert was coffee with bread pudding and pecan pie. I don't recommend the peanut butter pie if you don't like desserts super sweet. Bread pudding and pecan pie were delicious.
