So my mom, whom lives in a different city recommends downloading the Dickeys BBQ Pit App to take advantage of this special deal for this great sandwich. I’m sold, so I do so and discover that particular deal and sandwich she loves so much doesn’t exist here in Tyler, TX. No biggie it happens. After downloading the app I see as a first-time user, Dickeys is offering a complimentary “Westener Sandwich” so all is good right? So I order the Westener and add a Turkey Sandwich and a small bowl of Brisket Chili Mac. Go to pick it up, get home and not only did I NOT get a Westener, I also didn’t receive my Brisket Chili Mac. Didn’t eat anything from the contents of the bag, grabbed Whataburger, as Dickeys was closed when I discovered the error in the order placed through the app. Whatever, it happens, ESPECIALLY in Tyler TX as a whole, at any restaurant really. So I bring the greasy sack of food I picked up from Dickey’s back to them the following day, pulled out all the food and asked them if any of my sandwiches looked like this Westener. They were honest and said absolutely not, I was allowing bygones to be bygones and simply requesting a do over altogether. They apologize, unauthentically, and give me, what I THOUGHT would be the correct order. The Westener was free, can’t complain about that, but I paid for the turkey sandwich AND the Brisket Chili Mac. This is on me, but I didn’t check my order until I got home (after they were closed again) and discovered that, not only was the Turkey sandwich so small that it wouldn’t fill up an 8-yr old, but they gave me BEANS, and NOT Brisket Chili Mac! Seriously?!?! Really?!?! I was so understanding and totally didn’t throw a fit and even said, “it’s all good, you made it right.” But they did not make it right. Wished I could add photos to this review bc then you would see my concerns. The location itself is NEVER busy and honestly I thought LOOKED closed when I pulled in, bc apparently none of the employees, all 2 of them (on a Saturday) do not own their own vehicles…no judgement I promise…just saying. I’m severely dissatisfied with the service, the establishment itself and most assuredly the food! If I could rank this entity a ZERO Star score, I absolutely would! I’ve deleted the app, unsubscribed to their email accounts and will NEVER EVER do business there again. It’s like the manager there gets some sort of “lack of quantity” bonus for extremely over-priced, bare minimum amount of food situation. Mark my words, that business will be OUT OF BUSINESS within 6 months, and I’m being conservative with that 6 month timeline. Eat there at your own risk. If the owner reaches out and tries to make this right, I’ll update my post. I have NO IDEA how they are ranked 4.3 out of 5 stars. Must be a bunch of friends and family members misrepresenting this establishment. It’s not hard to gain a positive review status at any establishment. Most all of them are misleading.

This place is struggling. Apparently it changed ownership recently, and they need to put some money and effort into it or just shut it down. One or the other. The drive-through doesn’t work so we went inside. There’s a small sign in the window that says “open”, but there’s a larger upside down sign near the street that says “opening soon.” Probably not good for business. No one was in the dining room, except one employee who was looking at their phone seated at a table and one other employee. That employee began to walk to the counter and did greet me before I asked if they still made sliders. He said they did not and, when I began to ask why, the store phone rang, over a speaker. Apparently he had it forwarded to his cell phone, which he then answered and walked away, leaving me standing there at the counter. That was enough for me. I walked out. Hope they can straighten things out, and all the rest of the Dickeys still make sliders, so maybe they can fix that too. We used to spend hundreds of dollars a month at this store. Would like to do it again.

The first time we got food from here loaded baked potatoes it was near perfect, the second time we ordered from here potatoes showed up cold, tiny, and missing all the extras and sauce we paid for, that will be the last time eating here .I only return to a place if there is a steady consistency....

Dickey's is hit or miss. Today was a hit.I ordered Togo on the App while a little ways (3 blocks) from it. The earliest time for pickup from the time it was (4:47p) I can choose was 5:15p) ?? Why 25 minutes for a sandwich that takes 2 minutes to slice and assemble? I would understand if I was ordering catering, but I had just driven past the store and zero 000 cars in the parking lot ot Togo widow. I drove over, went inside at 5pm..the sandwich was still not ready...1 Westerner. Clearly, they had the order. One guy in the restaurant had finished eating. Hope they don't get a bus load one day.. it would take all day to feed that many.
Love love love this place!! Always go there during lunch. Just ordered ribs, brisket, mac & cheese and mashed potatoes for my son’s 17th birthday. Food was cooked perfectly and arrived on time!!
We were disappointed in the new Dickeys. My husband had the ribs, he said thaey were tough, used to be fall off the bone good. I ordered the brisket sandwich. She gave me a chopped beef sandwich, with hardly any meat on it, the sandwich was tiny. Sides were smaller. Totally understand that restaurants have to go up on their prices, but to be chinchey and pricey isn't a good combination. We were regular customers before, unfortunately we probably won't be back.

Okay brisket, pulled pork, and kielbasa on a carryout order. They didn't have the turkey I wanted to try. I liked the sides best (potato salad, coleslaw, fried okra). The place was dead (no customers) at 7pm on a Saturday night.Staff were helpful and friendly.
My family was a fan before it closed, and now that it’s back open we had to give it a try. And we weren’t disappointed! Instead of rolls they are offering toast. It’s was delicious. Seasoned fries instead of waffles fries. Love all the new changes.Kid-friendliness: I really appreciate when restaurant offer kids more than hamburgers and nuggets. My child got ribs. She thought they were awesome.

I would never had guessed this location had just reopened last night! We were blessed to meet the gentleman who has taken over this location and he is doing a great job. Very professional and patient as he trains the new staff. They had lots of things going on (like ice not filled and soda not working, new fixtures being delivered), but the service was so great that you didn’t even notice. Excellent smoke on the brisket and very flavorful. Potato salad was awesome too. Give them a shot, they will not disappoint!Wheelchair accessibility: Low slope ramp with railing, close handicap parking with plenty of room to load/unload.
Dickey's Barbecue was EXCELLENT!Called the evening before to make a large lunch order to be served for late lunch after a funeral service. The catering menu was perfect and the manager was even better! He went out of his way to help us out. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The buffet included sliced brisket served with sauce, baked beans, juicy flavorful slaw and yummy baked potato casserole with plenty of freshly baked cookies. The price was very reasonable and the delivery service couldn't have been better.I highly recommend Dickey's Barbecue Pit! If you haven't had this barbecue you are really missing out!!
Stopped in for a quick jap cheddar sausage fold over Sammy with Texas toast and a sauce dipper. It's Fantastic!!!
