Very disappointed ribs left bad charcoal taste in mouth did not taste smoked, links looked boiled not smoked ,slimy. Do not recommend

Great local soul food joint. Well worth the visit. It has to be the best catfish I've had in Tyler and East Texas. I can't say enough about it. It is always made to order! The greens were tasty but a bit smokey for my taste. The mac & cheese hit the spot!

Absolutely loved it! My husband & I searched the Yelp app for bbq places & the search brought up Soul Bar-B-Q. I ordered a brisket plate w/potato salad & red beans & rice. He ordered brisket & sausage w/mac & cheese & greens. Then, he decided to order the fried rib special that came w/fries & a drink because we had never heard of fried ribs. We wanted to eat there, but it was too chilly so we took it to it to the truck. We opened the fried ribs & they were sooo good...Crispy on the outside & tender meat in the inside. The fries were just as delicious. The potatoes kinda had a sweet potato taste. As for our meals...the meats were tender & the sides were tasty. The portions were big so we have plenty of leftovers for tonight. Oh, & the sweet tea was perfect...not too sweet...just right!

I have been meaning to get by here for a while and did today for the smothered turkey wings with dressing and giblet gravy! It was so very good and perfectly seasoned. I will definitely be back!
I had the baby back ribs and hot links. And man those were great. There was a smoke ring that took over half of the meat. And these ribs had lots of meat on them almost like a country rib. The meat was juicy and full of flavor. The hit links were good also.

On Thursday we stopped by Soulfood restaurant and ordered chicken wings and catfish strips, omg it was delicious and we enjoyed it , it was fresh and seasoned to perfection. Customer service was great . Thanks Mrs Lisa and son .We will be back .

Straight GARAGE!!!!!!!!After reading reviews decided to try this place. Please do not believe the great reviews as I did unless you like paying for over priced and disgusting food. The mac and cheese was not as the pictures and is definitely out of the box. Red beans and rice are as well with no seasoning just garbage. I was so excited to get some homemade cake but it was stale and rock hard?????. I was really hoping that the bad reviews was wrong because I really wanted to support an black owned business but please take my advice and save your money and go somewhere else.

The restaurant is dumpy, looks like it was spray painted black. The owner has body odor and seems like he doesn't bathe. It's dirty. The food looks like something someone made at their house. I won't be back. Owner has body odor and hygiene issues.
