The danishes that I got were great. And the cinnamon roll was among the best I've had anywhere.

My parents got their vows renewed. They ordered a cake through Village Bakery, and got it delivered to the venue. When it got there, it had quotation marks around the message and my mom's name wasn't Capitalized. The lady who delivered it, Emily, offered to come back and managed to redo it before the reception. She was really sweet about it and my mom was so happy. The cake itself was delicious. Definitely a wonderful part of the day.

This is difficult to only leave 2 stars because we love this bakery and have ordered every special occasion cake we needed from them for the past few years. It unfortunately happened for our Mother’s birthday cake, but we picked it up on Saturday and “Mama” was spelled MOMMA. My wife was a bakery manager with Brookshires for quite a while, so when she orders a cake, she is extremely explicit with spelling, as she was in the day when she took cake orders. In fact, she made a point to tell the girl on the phone taking the order not to feel disrespected for spelling “Mama” out for her. When we picked up the cake, and saw the mistake, we asked for it to be fixed and were told there was not a decorator there and they are about to close. (I realize they DO close at 2pm on Saturdays, which does not make sense to me but it’s not my bakery) So, we had to take the cake, as our Mother’s birthday dinner was in a few hours.Sooooo disappointing that they would/could not fix the cake.On a positive note, the cake was absolutely delicious, as usual, and I am sure I will use them again, unless we find another bakery with cakes as good.

Can't get enough of their gingerbread cookies and chocolate valentines cupcakes-the chocolate icing is just so perfect-sweet deep chocolate with sprinkles!

Havent been to this bakery in years. I remember when I was younger always getting cakes and cookies here. Thought I would get a few extra desserts so I didnt have to prepare so many desserts on my own for Christmas this year. I purchased an Italian cream cake, a pumpkin pie, a cheese ball with a loaf of sour dough bread, and some thumb print cookies. To say I was extremly dissapointed is an understatment! The Italian cream cake was dry and disgusting I have also never heard of anyone putting a pineapple filling in an italian cream cake??? The cookies were the size of a dime. Im not sure how they make their cheese balls but when everyone took a bite we all ended up spitting it out thats how GROSS it was, as well as the sourdough bread was as hard as a rock! I would have been better off buying a pumpkin pie at Brookshires and thats not saying much. Such a huge dissapointment especially with what I spent! Learned a valuable lesson!
