“4/2/24 and 4/4/24 Full-time travelers, on our way home to Minnesota after wintering in New Mexico. We had been here in Nov 2023 and enjoyed it, so we came back again. Twice. We arrived around lunch time but there were only a few customers seated at the bar, much like November. Both days, Barlee (the bartender/server) was at our table to get our drink order pretty much right as we sat down. This is a no-frills place, but it's clean and it doesn't smell like a bar. Your clothes don't smell like a fryer basket when you leave. The chairs aren't ripped up and the tables are level. Lots of room between tables. 4/2--Drinks delivered quickly! We ordered corn nuggets and cheese curd appetizers. They came out hot and fast, and were really good! In Minnesota you can find cheese curds on almost every menu, but this far from home, it's a rarity. The ones they serve here would find a happy home in Minnesota! When Barlee dropped off the appetizers, we ordered the rest of our food: patty melt and grilled cheese, requested crispy crispy fries with both. Again, the food came out quickly. The fries were absolutely perfect! Not a limp, wimpy soggy one on either plate. Both sandwiches were tasty, too. 4/4--Again, Barlee was right there to grab our drink order, and took our appetizer order when he delivered the drinks not even two minutes later. This time we got Jalapeño Tater Puffs and Carolina Reaper Wings. The wings caused a little sweat on the brow, but won't make for heartburn later. The Puffs were really good! We also ordered a Jalapeno burger with crispy fries and the Sampler Trio (mozz sticks, corn nuggets and pretzel bites). Couldn't have been happier with the food, and Barlee was great! If we come back this way in the fall, we hope he's still around. Give this place a try. We think you'll be pleasantly surprised!“

“So my lady and I stopped by here randomly on a road trip and we were both very happy with our experience. I got the chicken piccata, and let me tell you something. It was fiyah!! First of all, I want to know where in the world are they getting these bullet sized cappers ! They were phenomenal!! The size of them was crazy but in a good way. About double the size of a pea. But if your a fan , then you too will appreciate this delicacy. Staff was also very friendly even after having a power outage during our meal, but there was a storm going on so totally understandable. Overall, great place to stop by or to have as occasional meals.“
