Our favorite Mexican food in San Antonio! Love the Panaderia, too! We saved room for the sopapillas this trip-yummy!

Really good food, I got a taco this morning, and I can tell you the size of the taco is definitely worth the price, go anywhere else and pay the same price and you’ll get a skinny baby taco. Not here though. ???? 100000% recommend for your breakfast tacos. ?

I went to eat here months after opening. The waitress I had was the worst EVER! I ordered a quesadilla with beef and chicken. After getting my food and discovering that there was very little cheese I asked for a side of cheese. The server then brought me out a plate of cheese. She had explained to me that it was melted so it could go on the quesadilla easier. I examined the plate to see it was a big glob of melted cheese with grease all around it. I just took the cheese and ate what food I could eat. After hurrying and eating I got my ticket and paid for my food. I cleaned up my table and put the cash in a caddy on the table where the salt and pepper was at. I paid cash bc they charge you extra for everything including credit card payments, to go cups, and to go boxes. I work at a restaurant and never have I charged for a to go box. I leave the cash on the table and go to my car. About 1 minute later I could hear someone yelling to turn around and see it was the waitress asking me if I paid for my food. I told her where the money was at and she was still looking crazy. I seen all kind of people leaving the ticket on the table and never see anyone get harassed to their car about the ticket. Nevertheless, I will not ever go back here. Not to mention my food was $20. It's extremely dangerous nowadays to chase people to their car. Never again will I go back. Not to mention I'm African American.

Mi Tierra has everything you'd want in an authentic Mexican from the traditionally dressed wait staff to the roving guitar players who take request (Besame Mucho), to of course the reasonably priced and fantistic food. A true Mexican experience.

We had our daughter’s Rehearsal Dinner at Mi Tierra in the Patio Room, which is a Private room for up to 50 guests. From the moment we arrived, and throughout the evening, we had impeccable service from the staff. The food was delicious and the mariachi band kept the atmosphere festive and fun. What an incredible experience we had! I highly recommend Mi Tierra for a special event. Thank you for a wonderful time!

We were told by many to try this restaurant. They were way too busy to sit and eat. We decided to try the bakery instead. It was very busy too, but the line was moving pretty quickly. We ordered 4 different items. All of them were very good.

We stayed right on the Riverwalk for eight days and ate a lot of Mexican food and this was my favorite. We went on the weekend of Dia De Los Muertos and it was packed, but the place is so well organized the wait was not bad. Great family restaurant with great waitstaff and excellent decorations, and music as well. I enjoyed the place so much we went back again during the week, when it was much less busy but special. La comida es mui rica!!!

Ordered 2x enchiladas, one chicken and one vegetarian which came with rice and black beans. They gave some tortilla chips and salsa at the start. Overall the meal was ok, unfortunately not very tasty and quite bland and dry. The vegetarian zucchini based enchilada was really not good and very watery. The decor and and atmosphere is fun and festive with fairy lights tinsel, staff in Mexican dress and Mexican singers coming round to play a song for a fee. Ordered some Pastries from the bakery which all looked delicious and a huge array of different ones. We got a pumpkin empanada and strawberry & cream cheese pastry which were both good. The cookies and cheesecake looked good also. The bakery was better than the restaurant and the location is very central to the historic market.

I've been in San Antonio for over 20 years and had only been to this restaurant once until now. It is a special place with a special vibe. The bakery has so many offerings, I was overwhelmed with the choices. My husband and I went here with friends after a concert because it was within walking distance of the concert venue, and we did not want to try to find parking again on a Friday night. My husband and I both ordered the Enchiladas Verdes and thought the dish was okay. I got a house margarita, which was not very good and my husband did not like his strawberry one that much either. The overall atmosphere was great and the service was wonderful, with the food coming out very quickly and our waiter was quite attentive to our table.

We'd planned to eat dinner here but timing didn't end up working so came here for the pastries. Wanting the most authentic Mexican sweets, the lady behind the counter recommended the empanadas and she also liked the strawberry cheese Danish. The empanadas had pumpkin, guava and fig filling. We chose the guava and fig (though it tasted like lemon) and also got a strawberry cheese Danish. The empanada texture is more like a crumbly scone, otherwise the dough isn't all that fragrant. And the filling was ok. I wasn't blown away by this dessert. Maybe a meal here would've been better than the snacks. The decor certainly was very festive.

An amazing family owned restaurant with decor galore. The food is ho hum but the entertainment was the best!
