If I were rating the ambiance alone, it's a solid 5 stars. Food... definitely five stars. Bar and service. 1 star. The drinks are terrible. They are very weak. We sent the old fashion back because it looked and tasted like cherry Kool-Aid. The waitress asked if we wanted a double. NO, we just want the single we ordered made correctly. My rum and coke, had virtually no rum in it. The drinks also took a long time to come out. We ordered drinks before our appetizer and they came out together. When our food was delivered we ordered a second round, and I was almost done eating before that round came out. At first we thought it was the bar. It was prom night so the place was busy, but not packed. Then we remembered these are high school kids, so they obvsiouly weren't drinking. Then we started paying attention to the bartender. He wasn't busy at all, so we figured it was our waitress. We asked for plates when our appetizer came out. She brought them as we were finishing the appetizer. I'd asked for a lime for my second rum and coke... never got it. We had to ask twice to get our check and a box. Mind you we are sitting on the patio where it wasn't as busy as the inside, and there also two other servers working out there. We noticed other tables were frustrated on the service. This was our second visit, we remember the drinks sucked on our first visit. It's a shame. This is one of the nicest places in Victoria, and the food is really good. But they need to step up their game on their bar and service.

Service was good but food below average. Pecan chicken with pasta was served in a bowl, making it difficult to cut and had a large bone! Had to send it back. The tuna entree was extremely dry almost no sauce.

Two hour wait for food! To have gnats flying over my food!! Server was rude and never ever followed up with anything!!!! This place is definitely not worth the wait!!! I wish I was Gordon Ramsey to fire everyone and cook myself!!!

My wife and I were in Victoria for a wedding and we happened to stumble across The Pumphouse after we asked Siri for lunch suggestions. What a great place! The restaurant is near a river and had a neat atmosphere. The servers provided first class service. So very polite and professional. She made excellent suggestions and made us feel at home. The food was delicious and the drinks were great! All in all a very nice place that felt high class with reasonable prices.

We have lived here our lives and to get service as bad as it is now is disappointing. Our food was cold as ice and we noticed a moderate crowd but this was absolutely unacceptable. We will pass the word.

Went for dinner for our anniversary. Called ahead and made reservations for 6:00pm. When we arrived, we were told that they couldn't find our reservation. After some time, they found us a table, in the mostly EMPTY restaurant. Appetizers: we ordered the beef empanadas, server returned and said they were out. Entree: ordered ribs and pasta, server returned later and said they were out of that as well. Our server recommended the meatloaf. The portion size of the meatloaf was hardly the size of a small dinner roll. Our server at least was great, but overall we were disappointed with the dinner as a whole. A Saturday night and you are out of appetizers and entrees. Needless to say, we do not recommend going and will not be returning ourselves.
