The food was okay, so far my only two problems are the service and the quality of the food. For servicing two people, the total was $63 including a tip of $5. The food, especially the cheese enchilada was just not for me. The cheese tastes almost synthetic.. how do you manage to mess up with a cheese enchilada while also being able to make good queso? Other than that I recommend ordering something that doesn't involve the cheese used for the enchiladas. The ambience was okay. The quantity is also good.

Have been here a couple of times at the request of friends to have a common meeting spot. The meat is not seasoned like other Mexican restaurants, in fact I found it bland. They make their own crispy tortillas which are sometimes broken into chips, they were good and crunchy. Lots of salt. Salsa was, at best, mild almost like a tomato soup, no character veggies to speak of . Bar was the usual beers. Nachos were good, but mild as were the tacos. Best part of the tacos was the hearty crunch of the taco shell. Veggies were not spicy and the salsa was unable to help. The service was rapid with some waitresses having an attitude. Drinks were served in a reasonable time. Food came out relatively fast. The best I found was the taco salad with an extra order of beans which helped the flavor. Mostly, lettuce with a few onions and tomatoes. The ambiance is fast food which they accomplish, but not to my taste. The attitude at lunch was rawhide, "Head them up move them out." There were lunch lines at times to get in which I found curious...do lots of people like bland Mexican food? I won't go out of my way to avoid this Ventura, but it's not going to win any James Beard culinary prizes The price was reasonable.

1st time was 3 weeks ago. 2nd time yesterday. Now It's on my go to every week list. So Never, I mean NEVER buy taco or chalupa shells from a grocery store again. Go to Venturas. Have lunch, dinner, snack and Then order a dozen or 2 or 3 dozen shells to take home. Your life will improve. You will be happier. Those shells are "magically delicious" to steal a slogan. And their food is great too, along with their service.

A Victoria Gem. Martha's Staff is attentive and serves the Best Yes Mex in the County. Always Spotless.UPDATE: I have been coming here since two locations ago. Today I went with my parents and had the Lenten Menu. It was the best Shrimp I have had in decades. Fast and clean.

Waitress was rude. When she brought our food out we let her know one of the plates had the wrong side of beans she proceeded to try to avoid bringing the right side out and when she eventually did instead of bringing a clean spoon for the new side she used the same unclean spoon from the previous bowl and stuck it in the new bowl. Disgusting and not sanitary!
Food way too expensive. Have to pay extra for refried beans.

We order pork tamales and one beef taco. The beef taco was $8 so I expected a good amount of meat but they put more peppers and onions. The tamales were small and thin.
