It is a great treat to fall upon hidden treasures. Bayou Cafe in Vidor is worthy of you going out of your way to go for a meal. They have three menues; Regular, New Orleans, and Specials. I had New Orleans Shrimp and Grits and my wife chose Shrimp Gumbo with Potato Salad off the Regular Menu. We topped off that Outstanding with a seving of Mom's Banana Pudding. Has an Ole timey feel on the inside, but we'll kept. The food was amazing, though it can be pricey. A nice little change with plenty of flavor. My only complaint is that there isn't really service, had a lot of questions and severs couldn't really answer them. Parking is weird
