Hands down best restaurant in Central Texas. Food is original, healthy, and delicious every time. Quesadilla Burger is to die for. The carrot cake may be the best cake I have tasted anywhere in my life. The first building burned down and the place only came back better!

We had a very delicious and flavorful meal here. Plus they had a secret kids menu. Everyone at our table was happy and satisfied. Best of all is the beautiful area with crafting cottages surrounding the restaurant. Really made for a great overall experience.

Such a neat place. It was busy and the wait was long but there is so much to do while you wait at the nearby shops, it flew by really quick. Home cooked food, great service.

The Waco Homestead Heritage restaurant is one of my favorite places in Waco! The food is so fresh and high quality ingredients. Their burger is one of the best in Waco! A ton of their menu is homemade, they have tons of good options for healthier diets as well.

1st off, if you are coming in from out of town & arriving at dusk/dark, the signage needs improvement. This place is lit up like Fort Knox except the restaurant sign itself, an unlit wood carving (approx 4’x4’ ) not visible from the street. We arrived for a later dinner (8 pm) THE DAY AFTER Valentine’s Day, only to be turned away by a very unfriendly, snooty man inquiring whether we had a reservation (certainly they accept walkins right?). I mean, this isn’t a Michelin starred restaurant in the middle of Dallas. He acted as if they were closed for a private event & we were intruding. Mind you literally half of the dining room was empty. Rather than saying, “I’m so sorry we are on a ‘reservation only’ status FOR THE DAY AFTER VALENTINE’S DAY but let me see if we can accommodate you.” Or perhaps “We had an overwhelming response to our holiday dinner & had to split reservations across 2 nights, rather than just Valentine’s Day & are offering only a limited price fixe menu tonight; would you still be interested in joining us for dinner?” Or how about “can I reserve a table for you tomorrow night?” But no, he just looked down his nose & sneered that they were not accepting any guests w/out reservations. Hello? Do we not have the 24x7 ability to edit info online to instantly notify potential guests who are driving out there to dine & that they were on a RESERVATION ONLY status?!! Had it actually been Valentine’s Day, I would have called and 100% assumed reservations may be required; but the DAY AFTER? A big NO! In consideration of your potential guests, local or not, it is Impertive to advertise these things clearly. Please make updates on your website so people like my myself, who is from out of town and drove all the way out to a remote locale. For us, it was too late at night, based upon its location/time of day to regroup & have the time to dine elsewhere. I am a mere few weeks out of back surgery so we couldn’t attempt dining earlier but most assuredly didn’t expect issues the day after V Day. Please note Mr. I Need Some Customer Service Training & perhaps a few social etiquette refreshers, regardless of our particular circumstances, you were rude & made us feel very welcome. Had you communicated the info better or even made an effort by explaining that u only had a limited # of portions for a set menu that eve for reserved guests only & perhaps offering us to please join you another night (potentially w/free desert or ?? since [you] took your time to come all the way out here & we failed to make our RSVP Only status abundantly clear online). While your menu looked enticing, & we do travel through the area several times a year, we will NEVER dine at your establishment as you clearly have a disrespect & disregard for others. I would be remiss w/out commenting on parking issues. The parking is dangerous for people that have large vehicles who are attempting to access Handicap spots. There is about one parking space too many on the middle row of the lot to access the single-laned, narrow drive that leads to the front of the restaurant. Two Thumbs Way down for your hospitality and behavior. There is a LOT of local competition in the industry & plenty of fantastic options to not tolerate establishments that don’t value their guests. We have travelled all over the country & never experienced what you “dished” out.Parking: Too crowded for large vehicles.

After a fire last year burned the entire cafe to the ground they rebuilt in a matter of months into the majestic handmade cafe you see today! The jalapeño sweet potato soup is awesome and I love the corn fritter too!

Reservations were easy to change (originally booked for 6:30PM, but we wanted to have dinner earlier than expected, so we moved it to right after open). Reservations recommended as there is a dinner crowd that starts to arrive around 5:45PM.Excellent atmosphere -clean, thoughtful, and welcoming. We had filet, sirloin, grits, mashed potatoes, and wedge salads. Excellent quality food, well prepared! In in love with the herb butter and how everything felt as if it was made with love.Great spot!

After visiting the Silos we Came to this place since we saw it announced on social media and I was not disappointed! Absolutely loved the texas cabin vibe with a modern twist and the amazingly delicious made from scratch dishes! If you are looking for a spot with homemade dishes that are NOT made from anything from a supermarket this is the place to go! Not to forget, The service was top notch as well , very courteous and welcoming staff that made an excellent dining experience. Although we had a late reservation and couldn’t really make it , There are little shops around the Area to go and shop around. I will definitely be back and recommend to any friends or family that make a trip here ??

Fantastic staff here, very friendly and the restaurant was immaculately clean when we ate here. Couldn't help but feel that it was pricey for what I ordered but the food was well made.
