The food is not great, certainly not real Pho and much too expensive for what it is, which is basically chicken noodle soup with some basil on the side. And just as a reminder to the people at the restaurant reading this review - fish sauce and eggs are NOT vegan and should not be listed as such. I mean, come on, you guys.

Chicken pho soup and jalapeño chicken clay pots are our favorites but there are way more delicious items on the menu. On this cold day we had pho chicken soup and peach tea!

Love Clay Pot so much, the pineapple fried rice is heavenly and probably one of my favorite foods ever. Amazing service, and the cutest little place.

One of my favorite restaurants in Waco. I especially love their appetizers as well as their special, the clay pot. They have wonderful portions while never sacrificing flavor. The service can be hit or miss depending on which server you get.

I loved this place until I founded the bandaid inside my pho an now I’m sick as a dog been throwing up I wouldn’t recommend anyone to eat here until they get an inspection an pass it it’s very obvious they don’t wear gloves cause how else would a bandaid end up in my pho sooo disgusting ???

We were on the way back from Austin to Dallas. We Google for a pho near me in Waco, Texas. We stopped by this place. The waitress was very good. The pho or Vietnamese noodles soups were terrible. The worst pho we ever ate. I am sorry. I wouldn't recommend it.

I've been a long-term customer of 4 years. Ever since they remodeled the restaurant in 2023, it's been going downhill. They changed their menu, and their pho tastes like water with no seasoning. Also, they raised their prices...now the pho is AT LEAST $15. I ordered brisket in my pho, and the brisket was so chewy and disgusting that I couldn't even swallow it. I also used to love their spring rolls, but after the remodel, they changed the spring roll recipe so now the spring rolls also taste different and gross. It's missing ingredients that they used to include in it. This restaurant used to be my favorite in Waco, but now it's the last restaurant I'd go to. It's sad that they felt the need to change everything about their menu and restaurant when it was already successful. I wish they would bring back the old menu and recipes.

Visited Clay Pot for the first time in years on a trip home and was underwhelmed. I used to absolutely love this restaurant, but today's experience was disappointing. The staff were extremely rude. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty besides three occupied tables, but the hostess told us off for not calling ahead for a party of 7. When the food came out, one of the dishes was not what we ordered and the waitress, irritated, slammed down one of the curries on the table so that it sloshed everywhere with no apology or offer to help clean up. The missing dish was obviously rushed and undercooked when brought out. And then, when the last member of our party joined, the waitress made it clear she was not pleased another person had arrived and, before even taking their order, felt it necessary to inform them that they would have to wait for their food as if they had demanded special treatment. Very strange experience and not one I'm particularly interested to repeat, regardless of how delicious the food was.

I ordered sesame chicken and was literally given frozen chicken tenders from a grocery store doused in sauce. "Best $58 meal I've ever had!" - said no one eve.

Wonderful restaurant. I've been coming here since 2008 when it was a BYOB off I-35. The food is all wholesome and you can feel how healthy it is. Always brings back memories of really good times when I was younger.

ABSOLUTELY a terrible experience at this restaurant today.ConsI had to ask for menus.I had to ask for silverware.Ordered appetizers and they brought them out with the main course after a very long wait for it all.ProsFood really was DELICIOUS!I’m definitely not coming back to this restaurant even though the food was FANTASTIC and I’m definitely NOT RECOMMENDING this place to anyone.Just a huge let down of an experience especially after hyping up this establishment to my family of 7!Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs.

This is a quick order, eat, go restaurant. The clay pot meal we ordered was not what we were expecting. It was less rice and almost like a soup. The sampler appetizer was good though. Don't think we will be back.
