By far the best Chinese food in or around Waco!! I genuinely get excited throughout the day when I know I'm getting Happy Wok after work. Every dish is made with care like a homemade meal. Portions are great for the price, and the meat is fresh, high quality, and delicious. Their menu is extensive, has lots of different meals and sides to choose from. Every time I go in, the owners and staff are friendly and working hard. I am from NY and grew up eating chicken and broccoli almost every weekend with my family. For over a decade I have been trying to find a Chinese restaurant of the same style and quality. After living in NY, CA, FL, and CO, Happy Wok is in my top 3 ever! This location is styled exactly like those in NY, optimized for takeout as opposed to dine-in. This may seem odd to some, but these meals are best ordered for takeout so they can be enjoyed with family and friends in the comfort of home. <3 Think Big Bang Theory.

Awesome food... the best in Waco...!!! If you like spicey, ask for it....!!! They'll make it as hot as you want...!!!! I love any of the shechwan recipes..... Yummy...!!!! We drive from Lorena to get their food....!!!! Hope you love it as much as we do...!!!!

This was our first time trying out Happy Woks food. We ordered 2 combos of pepper steak, which came with rice and an egg roll. Like most similar Asian food places, they give very little meat, but there are lots of bell peppers and onions. The flavor profile of the pepper steak sauce it was cooked with was a little too garlicky for me. The rice had an odd consistency to it. The egg roll was a little limp & greasy. I know it's take out only, but come on. Tidy the place up. Cardboard boxes of products (I assume) are everywhere. At least neatly stack them in an organized manner. What a terrible eyesore. Probably will not return. The number one reason - I was just not that impressed with the food.

I won't be going anywhere else for Chinese in Waco. Five stars. Great value. I got Kung Pao Chicken and sesame chicken for my son but we could have easily split one combo plate. The Kung Pao Chicken featured tender chicken breast, carrots, celery, baby corn, mushrooms, bean sprouts green bell pepper and plenty of peanuts, great flavor and was actually spicy. My kiddo gave his sesame chicken a thousand thumbs up. Good classic egg rolls, just wish I'd asked for sweet and sour sauce for them. Love the fried rice with red pork too.
