Very expensive and drinks are sold separately. You get more food and drink down the road(2 minutes) drive to Bushes chicken on the loop 340 and bellmead drive!

The last few times I have been to this place. I've been disappointed. The gravy was super watery. The chicken was old and my fries were not fully cooked. I was so disappointed the food is getting horrible.. the owner is seeming to be kind of careless about the food that he's serving and I feel like they can do a lot better. That food was nasty. Don't go..

The food wasn't done. The hush puppies were not done. But the food was pretty

Why can't Austin have one of these? Jim's Crispy Fried is the perfect fried chicken joint. It's not a chain, so you can hope there's a Jim and maybe his family benefitting from the $ you spend, rather than some faceless corporation. It's a simple, casual place, with some random handwritten additions to the menu and a praying hands nod to Jesus, who must be helping, to make the chicken as glorious as it is.The pieces are big. On my recent visit, passing through, the delicious breast could have made a meal for me, but there was no way I was gonna leave that crispy wing all on its lonesome. The fries are of the crinkle variety, and are good though not extraordinary. When I was passing back through (okay, I confess, I timed it to hit Jim's right at lunchtime again!), I ordered the 4-piece chicken tenders, which were fabulous and so big I could only eat two. The third disappeared mysteriously around 3 a.m. and the fourth I am not at liberty to discuss. The yeast rolls are yeast rolls. Not a huge fan of those, but I'll dip anything in that gravy (which always needs some salt, IMHO).The food is so fresh you might have to wait, but it is so worth it.In fact, don't wait, just go there now! And I'd join you, if Jim's wasn't 90 miles from my home!Hey, Austin--we need a Jim's!The service is great

Took awhile to get my order and others orders were placed ahead of people that had been waiting for their order and some had to be reminded of what their order was. Usually I don't experience this at the place but sometimes one bad experience is all it takes for people not to return, that's not my case, I will return but if it was my first visit, I would not have. The parking lot needs repairs.

Best Chicken in Texas. Keep in mind this chicken is made fresh when you order. It is not a fancy place, it is fry shack. Everything is served hot, really hot. It is not greasy chicken like other places. Try it, you'll like it.

Food is generous and well priced, cooked to order, and quite good. The desserts aren't my favorite but the food will keep me coming back. Worth it. I fed my family for $21 on just the 6 tender meal and added a couple rolls and 4 corn on the cob. The tenders are huge and juicy. Come support this hidden gem.

I'm not sure how they even have a 4.4 star rating... Ordered the chicken fried steak and I'm pretty sure it was missing the whole chicken fried steak!! It was flimsy and very bland and paper thin! Like where was the meat? Gravy had no flavor whatsoever! Ordered a chicken thigh and All you taste is oil and soggy chicken skin. Thank God for the buche taco place next door to them! If I wanted disappointing chicken I would have gone to Bush's Chicken but this place is yuck! Raw chicken probably would have tasted a lot better. Just saying. And the sign in the drive-thru window saying cook to order but yet they have a whole bunch of chicken sitting under a heat lamp yeah that's not cooked to order thats e- coli waiting to happen. Never again will I eat here.
