“My family and I went to visit Waco and were feeling super hungry we were looking for a good Greek restaurant and we finally stumbled upon this one. We got our food pretty quickly and the employees were super kind to us taking our orders ? Their fries and onion rings were crispy and flavorful. We also had gotten the chips that were seasoned well and had a nice crunch to them, We ?loved to dip the chips with the hummus that we recommended you guys try. Their salads were super fresh, and their gyro wrappers were delicious as well.“

“A hidden gem in Waco. The rooms are spacious, modern, and comfortable. No matter if it’s breakfast or dinner, you’re going to find something thats perfect every time. Spend some time at the bar and you’ll understand why 5 stars isn’t enough. There’s a vibe you won’t find anywhere else. If you’re lucky, when you’re at the bar the service will come from Yesenia or Alex. They’ll make you feel like it’s your neighborhood bar. It’s a good place with good people who serve great drinks! Trust me, you’ll come back!!“

“After a business trip to Fort Worth concluded, on the way back home to Austin, I decided to stay the night in Waco. While there, I enjoyed a delicious meal in this hidden gem, 1424 Bistro, fit for a romantic evening for any couple. The service was exceptional and timed perfectly. Anissa, the bartender was very professional with her recommendations, and I was immensely impressed by her knowledge of running any sector of a restaurant. My selections for the evening included several new special appetizers and a Chef's Special Entrée which paired perfectly with a Pinot Noir from 1424's new Wine Menu.I very much enjoyed the traditional Greek selections for appetizers which were the grape leaf wrapped Dolmades served with a delicious Tzatziki sauce and the Kasseri Cheese served flambé style at table. Also, I enjoyed several of the Fried cheese portions as a side. The Bone-in Pork chop was cooked perfectly and adequately balanced with the delicious serving of garlic mashed potatoes and mixed vegetable medley. For dessert, I enjoyed a Vanilla Crème Brûlée that was fired perfectly to form a crisp and sweetened crust and garnished deliciously with blueberries and strawberries. To finish, the bartender and owner got creative on the spot with a Tiramisu Martini and let me try this as it is a newly developed bar drink. The atmosphere was eclectic and definitely a vibe to be enjoyed by anyone who appreciates delicious food that is reasonably priced and expertly prepared with an attention to detail that was unexpected, but a delight to experience. Live music, as I understand, is an added bonus for an enjoyable night.I must say, I will be bringing my girlfriend back to this perfect spot for a lovely evening away from the big city.“

“Super duper busy on a Friday around noon. The line was almost out the door! But we don't have a ton of Cava Restaurants in Washington State, where I'm from, and I really wanted to try this chain. In fact when it was our turn to order they were out of rice, lettuce and harissa chicken so we had to wait even longer. Most of the self serve teas were empty too. Honestly it took about 25-35min to get through the line. And the staff seemed very overwhelmed and unhappy. I thought that would have been a perfect time for the store manager to be there helping out and encouraging the crew but it didn't appear that that person was around. My friend suggested that I make my own bowl with tasty harissa chicken. Don't forget to ask for your pita! Otherwise you don't get it. Then I added so many extras to my bowl, like lettuce hummus, tzatziki sauce, extra veggies, shaved Brussels, marinated cucumbers, cabbage, grilled corn and broccoli . It ended up being a delicious light and healthy lunch that you could probably turn into 2 meals. I was so full half way into the bowl that my husband ate my much anticipated pita bread. I wasn't even mad about it though! Overall I was glad that I waited in line to try Cava and I will definitely be back but probably not to this location (mainly because I don't live close by). But I do hope the employees at this location get some help from management during the lunch or dinner rush in the future.“
