I really don’t see how this place is open, And has 4 stars at that. When we arrived we had been in the car awhile and went immediately to the bathroom. The smell of sewage hit us like a brick wall and was making my 5yr old gag non stop. then BLACK MOLD is taking over the bathroom. From then on I couldn’t help but analyze everything because if the bathroom smelled unbearable and there is mold and nastiness then what’s in the food. The food was warm but not like just cooked hot. The way soem of it looked made me think it’s being warmed over and over and put back out. but some of the food had an off taste therefore I didn’t eat any meat or seafood because I was too worried about food poisoning. The place is just really dirty. When we got home sure enough we all had messed up stomachs.

It was a weekday when we went I believe, im not sure if that’s why but the food was not fresh at all! The food was very much cold and lacked so much flavor. We had to eat because we were hungry but no one’s enjoyed the food that was out. It was also very limited on options.

Me and my wife went to eat. It’s a buffet so we made our own plates and our drink was refilled once. Food was what you would expect from a buffet quantity over quality. Waitress stood with her hand out for a tip and my wife gave her $3 and she got a very snobby look on her face as if to say “this should have been at least $10”. We will never go back. It would have been one thing if she took our order and walked our food out but she literally did almost nothing to earn $3 and it came out to almost $40 for 2 adults. Get real people, if you don’t like a $3 tip as a waitress at an overpriced Chinese buffet where you have to do very little work, then get another job.

We've enjoyed Summer palace greatly since moving to the area 10 years ago. The last two attempts to dine there were met with a sign on the door stating "closed due to plumbing issues". It's been a month and the doors are still locked. Any insight regarding the future of our favorite Chinese Buffet EVER would be awesome! Thanks

The food is amazing in its own right and should be praised considering it is buffet, the tastes and aesthetic fit very well together and gave me a very relaxed feeling while I was eating. Summer palace has numerous unique dishes for anyone who wants try something though most is an acquired taste. The staff handle things expertly and take care of business and are worth tipping. There was barely anything I did not like about this buffet and would highly recommend this place as great family buffet.

I was impressed by how much of a choice there was. Good food, lots of extras, and super clean.
Huge buffet with so many good choices. Egg Drop soup is very good. This is one of our favorite places to eat when in Waco.
