My wife and I stopped here while passing through Waco on a road trip. I had a vegan burrito and my wife had a Mucho Burrito which is a lot like the Vegan but with cheese. We also shared a smoothie. I must say that it was the very best burrito and the very best smoothie I've ever had. Ever. From anywhere in the entire United States! The owner, Terry served us and took a few minutes to get to know us a little bit. He's a really nice guy. If you want a really delicious meal that's made from fresh, locally grown food, and is so good for your body that it actually makes you feel good, this is the place! The dining room and furnishings are simple with sparse, yet tasteful decor. It's not a fancy place. Delicious, healthy food is the star attraction. One more thing, I am not either a vegan or a vegetarian, and you do not have to be one either to enjoy your dining experience here. We will most definitely come back.

Tucked in I small neighborhood plaza, is this cute vegan and vegetarian friendly restaurant. Staff is friendly and the ambiance is perfect for conversation. The food is yummy too!

I have been there twice. Terry is really nice and the food is amazing. I got the cheesy avocado the first time and the cheese avocado with chicken the second time. Also tried the Greek salad and the chips and salsa. They are so good and the place definately has a homey feel.

We are new to vegetarian lifestyle. My husband and I shared a sandwich and nachos. They were both warm and delicious. The prices are reasonable and so are the portions. I am glad Waco has this healthy food option. We will be back weekly!

Food was delicious! I ordered the Grilled chicken sandwich (GCS) it's simple and healthy not too much seasoning just right! I recommend the nachos for sure!! Smoothies were yummy as well. Will definitely go back here.

Terry was working today and he was so nice. My daughter and I loved the veggie burrito. It was so nice to have some healthy options. The kids had the Bean and cheese quesadillas and my son-in-law had the grilled chicken sandwich. We also had a strawberry smoothie and a Big Chill Smoothie. The chips and salsa were so good!! We loved everything! It is a cool spot and I can't wait to go back.

Just getting around to posting this after stopping here with my family while passing through Waco. We wanted a place that had a good selection for both a traditional and vegan meal types. This place was excellent! Every one in our family of 5 loved everything they chose from the menu! The sandwiches and nachos were all top notch. The vegan nachos in particular seemed odd that they didn't have some sort of plant-based cheese on them, but they do come with their salsa and afyer tasting them, there is ZERO need for the cheese as they were bursting with flavor and I couldn't eat them fast enough! My wife also instantly became a fan of this place after having their chips and salsa, in addition to her sandwich! This place is definitely a gem and we'll for sure stop here on our trips from the Austin area to Dallas! Thanks guys and continued success and support in the future!

I've been coming to Food for Thought for several years now and I can honestly say it's one of my absolute favorite places in town to eat. You're always met with a smile and friendly conversation. Pair that with super fresh ingredients and delicious dishes, and that's what you get at Food for Thought. The stuffed avacados are phenomenal, and the chicken nachos are by far and away the best nachos in town.
