Place is much more fun and comfortable than it sounds! Very down to earth, owner will come talk to you and explain their history and some of his favorite dishes if you haven't been before. They usually have off menu specials and will also try to accommodate your order. Food is very good with giant portions. The BBQ sauce is very tasty, tender brisket. We had the Mac Momma and Omar's Nachos. The sweet tea is DEFINITELY Texas style! Very sweet and delicious made in house. Would recommend again especially if you like brisket, cheese, and hearty dishes. Service was very good.

Dropped in for lunch after visiting nearby Waco Mammoth National Monument and found a genuine family-owned Texas restaurant. Great food, cold beer, friendly service. Recommended!

Food was amazing and our server Brandon was so nice and helpful and even brought me an extra plate of fries on the house. Brisket sandwich was so juicy and the cheesecake was divine. I definitely plan to eat here again.

First visit with my wife 3 weeks ago, was not a bad experience. Food was really good, only little complaint was when I ordered my beer at the start of our dining experience, our Waitress admitted to forgetting about it, so I went maybe close to 15minutes waiting on a drink. The next beer order came a lot quicker thou. I think the owner came to see up towards the end of our meal, very nice dude.Wife and I definitely want to come back and try other things on the menu. I got a burger and wife got fried catfish, both were excellent. Loved the waffle fries!Last Friday, went after work to kill some time, just wanted to sit at the bar and experience the setting there. Since I was just drinking beer (No food), only expectation is quick service for when my beer is empty, and the waitress did not fail! Might just make this my to go spot after work.

We could make a meal of the Alfredo dip and the hush puppies alone, so good! Smoked burger was really good too! We're just passing thru, so glad we stopped!Parking: There's plenty of room to pull a truck and camper trailer in the back lot

You absolutely have to come here, everything is fantastic! The food, service, atmosphere, and especially the music! Genuinely great food, and we always talk throughout the week about what we want to try next. Go on Thursday or Friday to try the meatloaf or the catfish!

We stopped based on other reviews. We’re traveling home to Missouri. What a wonderful surprise. Omar the owner, waited on us. He’s a man w a big personality who made the stop enjoyable. We are 4 adults and we had the smoked meatloaf, trio of tacos, chicken salad sandwich and the Mac daddy substituted chicken for brisket. And split a banana pudding for dessert. We highly recommend all!

Wonderful ribeye with whiskey butter and cajun mac and cheese, both meals were smokey and flavorful. Ella was a great waitress as well.
