Delicious BBQ, that was very reasonably priced. I got brisket, with two sides. My friend absolutely loved the Mac & Cheese. I enjoyed it too but she raved about it. The man who served us was very attentive. Next time I'm in Ennis, I'll have to try some other options on the menu.

I used to eat at their location when they were in downtown Waxahachie, and this was my first time since they have moved to Ennis. There was only one employee working all the front, but they werent busy. There was only two other tables occupied when I arrived for lunch and one guy left around the time I was seated.. I ordered the baked potato stuffed with chopped brisket. The guy working was friendly and prompt. I like that they are generous with their BBQ sauce and have a bottle on each table for your use. The brisket had a good taste, was tender and the amount generous. The brisket was hot but unfortunately the potato was not. It was only luke warm and wasnt even hot enough to melt the cheese on top. I was provided one tiny plastic condiment cup that was half filled for sour cream, and I dont know if the cook in back had put any butter on the potato or not as I saw no sign of any. They dont have any drink center where you can access it so I had to ask the guy for a refill on my tea. There also were no salt & pepper shakers on any of the tables so I had to ask for salt. The guy brought out another little cup with some really coarse salt in it - not quite as coarse as driveway salt but definitely not table salt. I used a little bit of it but the grains were too big and I ended up taking bites of salt, instead of flavoring the potato a little. The BBQ was good and I will definitely go back, I just found a couple of these things a bit - different ? Service was great, the BBQ was good, and maybe, next time, I might ask the server to take the potato back & heat it a bit more.
The sliced brisket was flavorless and dry (from the fatty end too.) The service was very slow even though there were only 2 tables in the whole building. Their prices are higher than other bbq places in town, and I don't think it's justified at all. I keep hearing about this place and how good it is, but I'm not impressed, and probably won't be back.

A nice restaunt in an old building on main street.Their bbq sauce was good and would buy it if I could.!Sliced brisket. It was excellent and succulent. I loved that they asked me if I want fattier or lean slicesHot links. They hot and they good~Jalapeno stuffed sausages were good but had better.~The slaw was alright too. Not much of it stood out~The beans. Same as slaw.

There on a friday nite around 6.30 pm already out of mack and cheese. Ordered sliced brisket. Asked waiter if sliced was from point or flat. He said point but it was definetly from the flat. Extremely dry need something to bring it back. Tried using sauce on table it didnt help. The flavor was good and the sides were good. Not sure why restaurants that are charging $15.00 for 1 meat and 2 sides want you to get your own utinsels and bus your own table . Seems to be the new normal.

I ordered 2 loaded baked potatoes to go.The potato itself was bland. As if they didn't even salt it before baking. The cheese was thrown on top of the meat...not even melted. Little to no butter. Just potato, meat and cheese. The meat didn't live up to the hype either. It was just ok. Overall I would not recommend or go back to this "smokehouse". Might as well have cooked the brisket in the oven based on how it tasted.We added salt, pepper, butter, sour cream, and green onion of our own stock and it made the potato decent enough.
