My wife and I had an adventurous itch, so we decided to try Taqueria Chalupas. We are SO happy that we did! I tried the chorizo and egg. Virtually no grease nor gristle plus beans were amazing. Alejandra gave my wife her favorites. My wife had the cheese enchilada with mole sauce. She thought they were scrumptious. Perfect balance of heat and flavor. We had Tres Leches for dessert, and it did not disappoint! If you don't stop and try this place out, you're missing out on a great experience!

This is a neighborhood hole in the wall where most of the patrons and waitstaff are most comfortable speaking Spanish.Dietary restrictions: They offer several protein options for the enchiladas, chalupas,and other entrées.

I used to be a regular. The food is great. But it you want water you are required to pay for water in a plastic bottle. So much waste. At first I thought it was temporary, but unfortunately someone decided they could get extra money from water drinkers, and clearly they don't care about all the plastic waste they're generating.
I wanted to like this place but the pozole was substandard in my opinion. They must have changed cooks because some reviews I read said this place serves the best pozole in Houston. I will not be back.Parking: Plenty of free parking.
