Closed on Sunday, when it says open on their page. How bad it feels when it's far away and closed. First time and last.

McAllen location—Saturday Jan 13th at 3:30 AWFUL SERVICE idk if the girls were under staffed but I fought it there was only three other people there and we counted 10 tables dirty with food and drinks the servers just walked back and fourth and after 30 mins they started picking up tables slowly food was great but one server had her thong out of front of a family and a super short crop top she was rude and not accommodating she seemed annoyed when we asked for anything and tried to ignore us when we called her would not come here again

During my recent visit, I was met with a rather disappointing experience. The most striking issue was the acoustics within the building; the echo and noise levels were high, making it difficult to have a conversation. This was surprising considering the restaurant was almost empty, with only one other table occupied. The cleanliness of the establishment was also a major concern. The interior was noticeably dirty, which immediately set a negative tone for the meal. It's essential for a dining environment to be clean and inviting, and unfortunately, this was not the case here.Regarding the food, I ordered a burger, which is typically a safe and satisfying choice. However, the burger was distinctly average and lacked any unique or memorable flavors. Given the overall ambiance and quality of the dining experience, the food did not do much to redeem the situation.Overall, my visit to this place was underwhelming. The combination of poor acoustics, lack of cleanliness, and unremarkable food made for a disappointing dining experience. It's a shame, as every restaurant has the potential to offer something special, but in this case, that potential was not realized.

Servers and everyone working were very nice to us and accommodating. We did not like any of the food we received here though. We had their Taco fries and 2 burger combos.

Here are a few tips Frankie.Fried pickles are way too greasy and salty. The brisket is bland. You don’t need all that cilantro and cheese for the fries that come with the grilled cheese brisket.Server gave us a discount because there was no more Mac n cheese but you could avoid money loss by letting us know instead of bringing us something that we didn’t order and we looked confused to the point where we had to tell him that is not what we ordered in which he proceeded to say “ sorry we ran out so I brought you this” instead of asking what we would like.Wings were good.Beef burger was dry. There were 3 burgers ordered and all 3 were dry. This place is not it. Sorry Frankie but you ain’t got no flavz

Frankie Flav's is charming and the food is delicious. This time I had a build your own burger and like all the other dishes especially the burgers are beautiful and meet all the expectations of any meat eater. Don't hesitate to try everything on the menu.

First time here—LOVED THE FOOD! Ordered El Jeffe and 2 meat plate bbq. Staff was nice, good service, very inviting atmosphere. Read some other reviews regarding bad food or service and that sucks- but I hope you give this place another shot. Family and I will definitely be coming back. ☺️

First time here, our server was nice. The food was delicious. Unfortunately, they ran out of twinkies but I will be back to try them next time!

So, I had high hopes for this place. The menu and drink specials seemed great. Unfortunately, very disappointed. Here’s a few of the many things I encountered:1. It takes a lot for me to send a standard margarita back to the bar. But here, I had to. The drink was essentially just an ice slushy. With liquid /ice separated top to bottom. Very little l alcohol OR mix. Completely bland.2. The taco fries sounded really good. Unfortunately, the portion size was small, barely any meat or cheese, and the cheese that was there was clumped and barely/not melted.3. When one orders a burger topped with a fried egg, you expect an over-easy egg (unless otherwise specified on the menu). This fried egg was cooked hard and completely through, just as you would for a breakfast sandwich. Not what is expected on a burger.4. Additionally, the burger was extremely dry and the fries were practically unsalted. And after asking for ketchup for the table, we were offered a mere 5 ketchup packets. Come on—leave ketchup bottles on your tables… you’re a burger place.5. Then, after the first drink, my partner and I thought we wanted another drinker. So we chose beer cause, who could mess up beer… right? Wrong! Server was completely clueless as to what was and was not on tap—having to come clarify with us multiple times (even though we ordered the exact same beer). After a few back and forths about what was and was not available—we were still both served the incorrect beer from what we finally decided on. This is of course not even considering how many menu/bar options were unavailable even though it was a Saturday night.6. Lastly—not one, but both bathrooms were out of order. Again, on a Saturday night. How do you expect people to come, sit and drink at your bar if they don’t even have a place to relieve themselves?Overall, I’d give Frankie Flav’s definitely needs to set up their game. Maybe I’ll have them another chance some time in the future, but not anytime soon.

Good burger. Polite and patient service. Fries are good, but they only have those little packets of ketchup. Coke is always better than Pepsi, and they serve the latter. Great music and at a volume that allows you to enjoy it and still have a conversation. They only serve barbecue Thursday thru the weekend.

If you are looking for an ordinary burger I suggest you got down the street because this isn’t an ordinary burger. I got the border wall and it was huge!!! Absolutely delectable and incredibly satisfying. I highly recommend it. That being said service is a bit slow but not too bad nice place to grab some lunch.

Bbq was awesome, sides definitely need work; potato salad was dry and lacked flavor and the waitress was very inexperienced and kept forgetting about our table.
