Very welcoming and this will now be my stop when passing through for kolaches, massive cinnamon rolls and sausage rolls. You order and then heat your goodies up in microwaves in dining area. Staff so friendly. It was nice experience!

I stopped at Gerik's this weekend on my way back to Austin and was very happy I did. I got the sausage, bacon, jalapeño, cream cheese pastry which honestly wasn't really my cup of tea just because there was SO much cream cheese in it. I also got a lemon cream cheese kolache which was fantastic. The pastries here are ridiculously cheap as well. The girl working the counter was super sweet but the inside of the store itself was nothing special which is totally fine because it doesn't need to be :)

Sorry but the Kolachies were not cooked fully on the bottom so they were still doughy. The meat didn't taste too fresh either. They lady serving them was very nice and so was the gentleman who rang me up. They place was not busy at all either. I got the brisket and a sausage Kolachie. Maybe an off day?

Forgetaboutit!! Yes, this is the new pizza, kolache and cinnamon bun stop to end all stops. My my my. What a great place for a group or dining alone. So much carbs to love and choose from in a cute cute little place that needs your business and support. Sure our party of thirty got stares from the locals. We were a good lookin' bunch! But the staff made us feel more than welcome and got us well fed. Czech Stop is my usual go to, JUST around the corner is no longer the only bakery with panache in little ol' West, Texas (just outside of Waco). They for sure got some competition ! This establishment resoundingly has trounced them in the carbolicious department. Pizza (check) Cinnamon buns (check) Super Star Country Service (check) Non tourist (check) And if that all makes you happy get this...day old cinnamon buns, etc, go on special. Box em up baby! I'd say your welcome! Make a flavor stop here when traveling these parts. Or if you are local, please check out (pun intended) this fine place. As a former NY'r pizza and the crust are deal makers or breakers AND I'm pleased to say THEY GOT IT RIGHT. 5 stars for all that AND cool air conditioning as we visited during the 100 + degree heat wave in July. 1 less star only as the place was super clean but accessibility and the ramp to a work around area for the women's bathroom was creative as best. Not a deal breaker but other folks might be put out by that thing. In summation, super good good good bakery AND pizza shop. Locally loved and reason for it! Until next time! See you next go round!
