My wife and I always stop at Slovacek’s for their pastries and BBQ. Love their food and the staff is amazing! Always smiling and willing to help. Keep up the great work!

Depressing. Looks like they have tried to press a Buckees into a 7-Eleven. No place to walk. Outside looks like a flea market.

This was my go-to stop on my wsy to/from Dallas on I-35. I hope they get their sandwich game back on because their sandwiches were the main reason I'd stop. My last two stops at Slovecek's (two weeks apart) were a huge letdown, expecting to see a huge selection of celophane wrapped sandwiches only to see 6-8 sandwiches loosely laying about in the refrigerator were less than appetizing. Now in plastic containers made them look like convenience store sandwiches. After buying two sandwiches, I was very dissapointed to find them also Tasting like dry convenience store sandwiches. C'mon Sloveceks, get your game back on PLEASE.

The Kolaches here are great, I use to always go to the original one across the street but in the past year or so they started using cheap cheese so I came here and they are a lot better.

Nice clean roadside stop and gas station. Smaller than Bucees, but they have plenty of snacks on sale along with shirts and other souvenirs. They also sell sausages and are most famous for kolaches, square shaped donuts with a variety of fillings. We were impressed how many different varieties of fruit and fruit and cream cheese were offered along a long glass counter. Staff were friendly enough but definitely expected customers to make decisions quickly and move along. At around a dollar for a large pastry, kolaches are a good value. We tried lemon and peach and cream cheese varieties. They were not bad at all, pretty yummy in fact. But I was disappointed because they were just as sugary sweet and dense as any American donut. Having grown up in Europe, that's not what I expected. Out of childhood nostalgia I was hoping for more delicate textures and flavors. Again, kolaches are tasteful but to me they were much more Texas than Czech.

Cool gas station stop, pastries are tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. Since they are usually pretty busy is hard to order and employees taking your order are rushed to get you in and out. My breakfast order was wrong and not very tasty.Vegetarian options: Ordered an egg and cheese breakfast, they gave me a sausage, egg and cheese.

There was a copious amounts of bugs and flies in their glass display that ALL of the pastries are in. Could not bring myself to purchase anything because bugs were on all of the pastries
Get some authentic kolaches! Some sausage wouldn't hurt, either. Great selection of trinkets and gifts, some even from the Czech Republic and Germany. This is what Buc-Ee's should be.
Love this place, we often take a trip out there to get their awesome pastries ? ?

This place has more Texas souvenirs than all souvenir shops combined and then some. The jerky is great. The people are friendly. And the place is without compare. If you are driving through West this is a must stop.

Incredible place. Foodies place to be. So many selections, just eat till your full and take the rest home!
I absolutely have to stop here if I am anywhere close by. I love their sausage, real authentic kolaches, and all the things you can only find here. There is always a line so please pack some patience. But definitely worth the wait. I did discover this trip if you get ground sausage kolaches it is not pan breakfast sausage they use ground link sausage. My favorite kolaches this trip was the czechadoodle and the poppy seed. They have a new section outside that has all kinds of metal art that is awesome!! Love love love Slovacek’s.
