El tapatio is one of the only Mexican food experiences and Wichita falls. That's worth your time at all. That being said, I ordered the quesadilla and I'm used to being able to eat a quesadilla with my hand, but theirs is so large and filled with the brim with stuff that it's more of a fork and knife ordeal. So I wouldn't recommend getting the quesadillas unless you're ready for that. But everything else my friends had and are queso all looked delicious. Whatever I had last time. I think it was a cheese enchiladas. Those are really good. So yeah it's like not the best, but it's definitely the best in Wichita falls. So you know you can't be picky. We absolutely LOVED the food, and the service was great. My only complaint was that it was SO incredibly loud, and tables and booths were close together so we felt like we were practically part of the conversation of the group next to us ?

Used to come here every week and get the chips and queso and some nachos. Was phenomenal but they recently changed their queso recipe and it now tastes like condensed milk or walnuts so I haven't wanted to come back since everything we order uses the queso. Hope one day the recipe goes back so I can have the food again.

Fantastic food and service. I haven't found too many good Mexican food restaurants in Texas, as everywhere is always TexMex. El Tapatio is actual Mexican food, and I will be back when I come to Wichita Falls for work again.

I have been to this place 4 times because according to the “reviews” it’s worth it. I can’t even decide which time was the WORST. Horrendous service AND horrendous food. It is really sad this restaurant has no competition in Wichita Falls. If it did, a “for sale” sign would be posted in the windows. Do not go here if you’re looking for even remotely good food.
Overall a good place to go to. Not high end but just right for a casual meal or drink.Vegetarian options: Good selection, they use a lot of cheese though so I usually ask for none or for very little. The vege's are sometimes pretty oily.

Please feel Free to review the footage.Here’s a real review:• Salsa like tomato soup• Frozen Margarita taste like a heavy dose of sweet n sour. How about lime instead…• the chips are 1 square inch and break into small pieces• my fajitas were cold. I thought they are supposed to be sizzling hot?• My friend ordered a quesadilla with a 24” long hair.• the waiter studied my ID for a solid minute and was making faces like he didn’t believe it was me.• Queso Blano with a water consistencyBtw a good friend from Dallas recommended this place and this has honestly been the worst restaurants in Wichita Falls I have visited since moving here 2 months ago.
