Everything, and I mean everything, was severely overcooked. It wasn't my first time there, but it was definitely my last.

We sat at the bar and it was wonderful! The bartenders were super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu! It was a bit pricier than we were looking for but the food definitely matched the value!

Based on their menu prices and some online photos I thought Pelican’s would’ve been a really good restaurant but I was left a bit disappointed. Upon arriving I noticed they had plenty of parking and that it must’ve been busy based on the availability of spots. Once inside, it did seem very busy but it’s because it’s pretty tight up front which is where their bar is. The bar has very little seating but I’m assuming they’re better known for their table service. I ordered a whiskey sour which was just made with sour mix and whiskey, I wasn’t expecting anything fancy but considering they have pappy’s, just using sour mix and a regular cherry and not making it with egg whites is a disservice. The bread provided was as hard as a baseball bat and was more like a long cracker. I had some raw oysters which were pretty tasteless and extra slimy. For my entree I had the filet with a loaded baked potato. The filet was pretty tasty and cooked to the perfect temp but the potato didn’t even have the cheese melted. For a place that has $40/$50+ steaks I expected a bit more. Staff was friendly and casual but could’ve been a bit more attentive.

Party of 3. Waited 40 minutes but never seated. Quite a few people came in after us - some with reservations- some without, but they were all seated before us. The hostess, if that's what you'd call her, never once attempted to update us. She was too busy playing, laughing, and gossiping with her friends/co-workers. So disappointed.

We did not have a reservation but got a table instantly. The service and food was great. Oh and the drinks were too
Raw oysters so small. Prime rib full of gristle. Could not fully chew any of it. Baked potato was good. Salad was crisp and chilled and had the best house salad. Shrimp cocktail was amazing.

Best part of the experience was the wonderful service by Marcos, the drinks, and the red velvet cheesecake.I found the food itself underwhelming. I'd be willing to give it another chance on a less busy night though. I don't usually like to leave a review when I have an unfavorable experience, but I did want to give a shout out to Marcos who despite the crowd was remarkably courteous and hospitable.

I love a place that has a specific gluten free menu on request. All the foods were clearly indicated as GF and were substantial. I had bacon wrapped shrimp, salad, and a potato. Very filling. Stop by when you're in town! They have quality service and food for all.
Great food and atmosphere
