“Great flavorful food! We had a burrito and a Haystack. Quaint, Clean but small dining area. Eric served us and he was very pleasant and entertaining. We would definitely eat here again and try the cheeseburger since we heard it is his signature item.“

“I have been wanting to try this place for a while but am never out in Montgomery on a day they are open. The wait does not disappoint. I tried the Wyatt Earp hotdog (bacon, burnt ends, chipotle Mayo, sriracha) and the Johnny Ringo corndogie (bacon, creamy peanut butter, raspberry jelly.) It sounds bizarre but it was so good!! It is a small place with limited seating, so go early. The owners and the rest of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. We will be back.“

“We returned to Conroe today and decided to make a second trip over to this restaurant. The manager reached out to let me know they would make the duplicate charge right and offered us lunch to show us how awesome their team really is. We tried a couple new dishes and loved them! As always their food was superb and Aurelia (sorry for spelling) went above & beyond to make our lunch special. The restaurant is next to Galaxy FOB at the airport and our table next to the window to watch constant airplane traffic coming and going. My grandson was mesmerized and Gives their cheese pasta two thumbs up!! The Black Walnut has fantastic food & their service is excellent making this a very special experience. Can't wait to return!“

“Had lunch there on March 1 got there when they opened at 1130. We ordered their Friday special fish and coleslaw, hush puppies and french fries. The service was great atmosphere was appealing a small place. Very quaint. Tell there is lots of regulars definitely would recommend going lunch dinner and a great cocktail.“

“Had the grilled cheese and fries which were great. I like my fries a little crispier. These were thicker cut but seasoned really well. The grilled cheese was dynamite. The ladies at the bar next to me had pizza that they said was very spicy. It was thin crust and looked delicious. The service was really good. Very quick and the ambiance was small and quaint. It was packed in there on a Friday night so you know they do a good business.“
