“Service is a little slow on this day, but they were busy. We had one vegetarian with us and the choices were limited for them. I thought they had a steamed vegetarian plate but didn't this day.”
“This is the one of the best barbecue spot I’ve tasted. We are from Waco Tx and drove through Mexia for work, when we saw Wrights. The small original places are usually the best and we were right! I had a chopped sandwich with chips and my sister had a mixed plate with all the sides. Ever piece of food was delicious and full of flavor! Yall are awesome guys! God bless you!”
“I really love their barbacoa burritos ? I definitely recommend!!! Their really good ? and the plus side they don't really put that much blubber in the meat which it's a plus for ”
“I have grown to love this place ❤️ The food is great. Customer service is wonderful. The food is amazing, menu put together nicely. The place feels like grandmas on a Saturday eating lunch . I work around the corner and is a great option to eat for lunch.”
“Missed an item but the guy I'm guessing is the Manager made it worthwhile to come back and spend my money from Teague to Mexia great customer service see them soon???”
“Excellent catfish, the tarter sauce is also awesome...!! This place has been around for the longest time, do they have a monopoly on fried chicken in Mexia for sure. :-) Good people, good service, good food!”
“I absolutely love the food, the owner, and my favorite... Ms. Nettie! You can't beat them at the best breakfast ever. Prices are reasonable and affordable. Go by and check them out.”
“We love this place ?. We live 40 miles away and still get up early and drive over for breakfast sometimes. The food is always delicious and the coffee is the best! Good country cooking and atmosphere. Your coffee cup is never empty. That's a big deal ☕.”
“I grew up in this bar. They used to give me Shirley Temples with a bowl of goldfish. Now, they have an entire menu with an awesome chef preparing meals that can be enjoyed on the screened in patio if preferred. The music, pool, and awesome people just totally completel the fun atmosphere.”
“Stopped here for lunch and grabbed the lunch menu. My husband was so excited to see a fried bologna sandwich with egg, bacon, and miracle whip. Michael, our waiter and the manager, suggested the Ruben sandwich as they were out of the bologna. He also recommended the lemon pepper fried potatoes. Excellent recommendations. My wife had the patty melt with onion rings, both yummy. The staff was very friendly. We will be back and highly recommend Joe's Burgers!”
“This is actual Mexican food, not the stuff they sell at the corner store. Food tasted damn good along with some flour tortillas. Solid 10/10 for flavor, highly recommended the Bistek Ranchero.”
“Super clean restaurant, service is fast efficient and friendly. Food is great! Quality and portions are perfect. Their bread is so delicious, could be a meal in itself. Pricing is beyond fair, the owners seem to really care about their customers! I would highly recommend this place. Yummy!!!”
“My husband and I love to go here. They have a great crew working here and it's got the home town feel. We enjoy dancing on the dance floor and watching karaoke as well. Good prices and good fun at Mama's Place!”
“Great prices. However, the best part was the food. Delicious & genuine food. Best corn tortillas. I buy them in bulk. They do not charge for tap water like a previous review claimed.”
“When this business started chicken flavor was great, now it has same consistency but way too spicy for kids and pieces get smaller and smaller.Place is ok to eat during cooler days(outdoor only) but now is July/Aug and they don't even setup a fan for dine in customers.**beware when paying with a CC they add a $3 surcharge without notice.”
“Always friendly and the food is great. Charlie has passed away. Updat: Place has been sold. New owner has kept the name. Quality of food has went down. But don't take my word for it, judge for yourself.”
“The tacos were great! The choriqueso was great. The service was great. My only disappointment was the menu prices. I was charged more than the prices listed. I asked the young lady why I was charged $10.30 when the price on the menu said $7.25? (Even the tacos were priced higher). She replied that those were the old prices and they hadn't had time to change them ?. I understand the need for prices to increase but the customer should be informed. Would I go back? I sure will...the tripas tacos were delicious ?”
“This establishment is BY FAR my favorite Buffet-style restaurant ANYWHERE!! I’ve eaten Asian food in different states for decades. I’ve eaten in L.A.’s and Houston’s Chinatown areas. I’ve eaten Sushi in Toronto Canada. Enjoyed Asian buffets in Las Vegas also. So when I state that GRAND BUFFET is the best. I don’t say that lightly. My goodness! The variety is staggering and everything is served at temperature and appealing to the eye. From cold foods, salads, sushi, hot dishes, and desserts , I guarantee you’ll love everything you try. This is my second time here and it is as good if not better than my first visit”
“I love everything about this place from the food and prices!! They have great food and great prices and all the servers I have had are great and very nice!! I just love this place it is my favorite!!”
“This Taco Bell is pretty damn good. Although the time in the drive-through is a little longer than I’d like, the food is always hot, fresh and delicious and the window service at the drive-thru as always exceptional. I haven’t been to this Taco Bell once and received bad service, not once. The employees are smiling, but not too friendly, helpful, kind and efficient. Best place in town for lunch if you only have 30 minutes. Did I say the food was always hot, fresh, crunchy, and delicious? Regardless , let me repeat myself, the food amazing. I haven’t been inside this establishment, I always use the drive-through, so I can’t comment on the atmosphere inside or the cleanliness of the restrooms or the restaurant itself. BUT based on the outside of the restaurant, which is always clean, I would venture to say that the inside the restaurant is clean as well.”
“My parents and me and my husband met at the Mexia Whataburger this past week, because that's where my Dad wanted to eat for his birthday! We all live 1.5 hours away from this location but it's a good middle meeting point. I thought I would ask the cashier if they had a 83 place marker for his birthday so we could take a photo since we always use birthday number candles for family birthdays. She said she would go check. Before we ever got to our seats, Lacey had not only found a 83 table marker and a Happy Birthday table marker, she had informed Kenneth, the manager, and he showed up to our table with a cup full of Whataburger goodies for my dad (like what they would hand out at a recruiting table/fair), and added apple pie and cinnamon roll to our table for him. This made my Dad's day and ours too! Thank you for always having great food, and going above and beyond for fabulous customer service!Parking: Plenty of parking.”
“Totally awsome place.. We were just passing thru town and dove into their driveway at the last second.. What a delightful surprise.. I saved the place on my Google maps in hopes of returning someday.. ? Very Yummy and such a large selection. Everything must be homemade ? I give them a 10 rating ?”
“Steak and pepper jack cheese soaked with southwest Chipotle sauce is the best sandwich I have ever eatenVegetarian options: Fresh veggiesKid-friendliness: No alcohol servedDietary restrictions: Menu is clear on calorie count”
“The food is good bc it’s MCDONALDS.Service is usually ok.Atmosphere is good from 7:00AM-8:00PMI will say that take-out is TRASH they always mess up take-out idk why..”
“This is a great place for a quick, easy, and inexpensive meal. Last time I went through the drive through the pizza must've JUST came out of the oven cuz I was super fresh and hot. Mmm the cheese was so yummy and pepperoni had that extra little crispycrunch that I love.”
“Look at the options! You can drive thru, park and order, sit at tables outside in a covered area and order. AND there is a nice play area that's gated right by the outdoor tables.”

“If you're looking for a great, clean place to eat and have a drink off the beaten path, the Old Gin is a good place to stop. It's in a renovated old cotton gin, so it has plenty of rural/small-town atmosphere, but it's clean and well lit.The main dining room has a bar with about 10 beers on tap, in addition to other drinks. There's a covered patio. When we arrived the live music entertainment for the night was setting up. Plus, there's a playground for the kids to play own while they wait for the food.My wife had a burger and my daughter had the turkey sandwich. I had a monte-cristo like sandwich: bacon, jalapenos, swiss, and raspberry jam. For an appetizer we had fried pickles and cheese sticks. All were very fresh tasting. They even fry their own chips which were excellent! The service was very helpful and checked on us regularly. I recommend this place.”
