My husband and I visited and had a good experience. It's always nice to be able to support local small businesses. I had the catfish and my husband had the Dirty South dish. The service was good. The staff was friendly. We both enjoyed our meals and would eat her again.

The place is delicious- everything we've ordered has been flavorful and portions are good. GUMBO, bread pudding and the cornbread are all a must

I don't know where they do this in the South, but this sure as heck ain't the South I've been to. Even if they were trying to cut back on costs by using fewer ingredients, don't sacrifice flavor for profit! Or if they're trying to provide a more organic taste- epic stale. I was hoping this spot would live up to the hype, and so far, it's been a hoax! The service was meh. The ambiance was little to non-existent. The whole place reminds you of a dive found on a deserted road off of Route 66 in 1966. (Actually, that would be step up. Guy Fieri would walk in, turn around, and run out!) If you want good Southern based cuisine, save your money and go to Walmart and cook a meal yourself! You're already in the South anyway! Lol

Food is amazing. Scratch made. Family owned & operated. Service is friendly. Best cornbread in the universe. Red beans and rice is off the charts.

My wife is from NOLA... She hates anything that says it's Cajun because she knows it won't come close. The South does. D knows what he's doing and he does it well. We've ordered half the menu and everything has been solid so far.

This place is AMAZING! Everyone working there was super friendly. The food came out hot and fresh! The restaurant was clean. We tried the Jambalaya Ball and Chicken Sandwich. Both were very tasty. The fries that came with the sandwich were fresh. You can tell their food is made from scratch. We will definitely be back. I want to try other things on their menu.

10 Stars!! This food was a cheat day well spent. My Husband is from Louisiana and he gave this food the stamp of approval. Everything was seasoned to perfection & the portions are very generous. Three of us ate off of one boudin ball!! We also had fried catfish, fried shrimp, catfish po-boy & red beans and rice with cornbread. I order takeout in my food was ready in about 20 minutes. Considering the number of orders they had that was a very reasonable wait. We will likely be adding this to our weekly rotation. So glad to have some southern cuisine locally that is cooked to perfection! Thanks to the to young man at the front desk that took my order. He was very efficient and friendly. See y'all next week!

Enjoyed a great meal and very friendly staff at a cozy cajun spot in Wylie tonight. We were famished and looking for something different, non-chain, and preferably family-owned. Heard about this new cajun place and decided to give it a shot. The menu had something for everyone in our family--my kid absolutely loved the beans and rice, I enjoyed the fried catfish, and my wife was very happy with the fried shrimp. The owners even gave us some of their special cornbread and bread pudding to try - both were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

This place was a great find, the food is good and the service is top notch, the building is very clean! Highly recommend the daiquiri swirl, they also give out little bite sized desserts when you stay for a bit. Will definitely be visiting this place again!

Amazing flavor! My wife and I had: jambalaya, red beans & rice, corn bread, hushpuppies, meat pie, and the dirty south which is dirty rice bed with cajun green beans blackened catfish topped with crawfish etouffee. ALL had great authentic flavor. Perfect portion. Service was great. The atmosphere wasn't bad, I'm not sure how new they are so it seems like the bar area and menu setup are a little unfinished but this just perspective. I'm by no means an expert to have much of a valid opinion here. We will definitely be back, and will absolutely recommend to others. Heck we already have upon returning to work.
