Decided to give this place a try via Grubhub which btw refers to them "Bandera BBQ" in case you search them. We were not disappointed. We ordered the Sampler platter which included 4 meats, 4 sides, and 4 bread choices. It was nice to be able to try several different options. I particularly thought all the meats we tried (brisket, Turkey, ribs, and pulled pork was delicious. My favorite side was the deep fried funeral potatoes. Holy cow those babies are fantastic. The bread choices were also fare, we enjoyed the corn bread with honey butter. The price was right and they pair with Grubhub so the fees were not crazy and my delivery person Leo was the best. He had my food saved in his isolated bag so our food arrived warm. So awesome I will be back for more of the ribs and those funeral potatoes!!!

I've driven past this place for a long time now, and I was finally able to stop today. I have a hard time normally, going out for BBQ, especially to new places. Usually you will spend $15-$20 on a single meal that will have hardly any meat, and the sides can be really hit or miss. If you catch the restaurant on a bad day or get a bad cut of meat, it can make a fairly expensive casual meal a waste. Luckily, I was able to hedge by bet here by using a Starving Student Card. The deal was buy a one or two meat plate, and get one free. After all was said and done, I had a four meat, four side meal for under $20. That's obviously a lot of food, so my wife and I were able to share it, and try a lot of different options. I ordered two briskets, a turkey, and ribs for my meat, and got the brunswick stew, baked beans, mac and cheese, and funeral potato bites as my sides, with a cornbread and garlic toast for my breads. I watched as the guy cut the meat, and everything looked and smelled amazing. One serving of brisket was about one slice, maybe a little more, but not much. The turkey was two slices and the ribs included two Saint Louis style ribs. The sides were pretty big however, so it ended up being a lot of food. Once we finally got home and opened everything up, I was dying to try it. There's nothing like a 10 minute car ride with fresh BBQ to get the stomach rumbling. The first thing I tried was the brisket. It was fantastic! I have tried brisket at most of the bigger names in BBQ around Utah, and I think this was easily in my top 3. It was a little fatty, super tender and flavorful, and had a great bark on it. It made my glad I got double portions. The ribs were really tender, and fell off the bone with a little bit of a pull, so perfect in my opinion. The rub was different that others I've had. It was initially sweet, but then finished with an herby flavor. It was different, but in a really good way. The turkey was a little bland, but we really moist and perfectly cooked. The sides were all really good! My favorites were the beans and the funeral potato bites. The beans were sweeter, more of a traditional style, and the funeral potatoes were little balls of perfection. The bruswick stew was okay. It was like a really meaty, bbq version of minestrone soup, but without the pasta. It isn't really my thing. The mac and cheese was okay, but nothing to write home about. Overall, I had a great experience with Bandera Brisket. I know BBQ can be hit or miss, but if you can catch Bandera on a good day, I don't think you'll find better brisket in the state.

My husband and I were very excited to try out this place. The photos online made it look so delicious. My husband and I got the brisket and the pulled pork. Immediately we noticed that the brisket was incredibly dry. The employee even mentioned it had been sitting out for quite a while. The pulled pork was VERY stringy, cold, and incredibly dry. We tried to eat around the meat, and only could eat a bit.The reason I did give some stars is because the sides were good. We really liked the mashed potatoes and garlic bread. They also were MUCH fresher than the meat.

Great barbecue place, there's options of meat plates or sandwiches. I got the meat plate, you can have up to 3 meats, comes with 2 sides and a bread option. The fried funeral potatoes were really good, the side portion is 2 fried golf ball sized balls. The mac and cheese had been in the heating pan for a while but still pretty good. They have a huge selection of sauces, something for everyone. They also have a root beer tap by the soda machine, has a good homemade taste, not super sweet. Staff was friendly, great service, answered all of our questions, it was most of our groups' first time to the restaurant, we'll definitely be back

Good Brisket. Great Creamy Corn. Good Slaw. Great Fried Funeral Potatoes. Good cornbread. Banana pudding had no banana flavor though?

Best food ever!! Can't get enough of the creamed corn. Salad with pulled pork 2 thumbs-up! I just let the creamed corn be my dressing. Hog heaven fries!!!! Just an appetizer but I say main course. Ask to try half and half with hog heaven potatoes and their traditional seasoned fries as base. I love with the traditional seasoned fries. You can't go wrong.

This place is sooo good! Me and my wife got the 3 meat plate and the nachos. I'm surprised. We wanted to go to Texas roadhouse just down the road but it was way to full. Glad we came here instead, not as crowded with even better food. Definitely worth a try!

Sadly it just misses the mark. We stopped in for lunch last week. Of course, given the name, we had to try the brisket--it was really dry, flavorless and I've certainly made better brisket at home on my own smoker. We got the pulled pork as well and it too was just "ok". Sides were decent with the coleslaw actually being the best thing on the tray. Service was not great and the guy seemed like he just didn't want to be there. The place had literally one other table in on a Friday afternoon during the lunch hour. Maybe that was a clue something was off as it should be slammed! The bathrooms were filthy, the place was fairly dirty and grease smeared on walls. Sadly, It just seems like the ownership have given up on the place.

The inside is decorated well, typical of what you'd expect of a fast casual restaurant in the valley going after the industrial look. The brisket was bland and dry with the fat not being rendered so it was a bit chewy. The chicken, however, was not bad. It was juicy and had a good smoky flavor to it. The "creamy" corn was really just corn in a sauce. The Mac and cheese was ok, not the best but also not the worst. Also got the bbq nachos which were massive, definitely something to share but that was also just ok. Their house sauce was not bad and pairs well with their meats. Overall, the place was pretty mediocre and might satisfy your craving if you want something quick but at their price point it really should be better. Not really sure what makes it "authentic Texas bbq" since it really mimics the same recipe as every other bbq restaurant. There's better bbq joints in the valley that I'd rather go to for sure.

I'll cover the good first. The brisket was great. The servers were friendly. I loved the beans. now for the not-so-great and the reason for losing some stars. We had 4 orders. one did not get the side of cornbread and one did not get the pickle (an option instead of bread). The Mac n cheese was bland. The lettuce on the salad was warm and wilted. we did not get all the sauce we ordered, and what we did get was mislabeled (my daughter expected sweet bbq and got a mouthful of hot). overall, the food was okay, but we won't be going back. And check your orders people! (My husband had gone to lunch there with a friend and had stuff missing and mediocre food as well. This was a second chance.)

Talk about awesome food. The meats are amazing and the sides are top-notch. Can't wait to go back.

They have yummy bbq. My favorite is their Brisket with their sweet bbq sauce. The servings are good and they have some good gluten free options for my wife who is gluten intolerant and can have the food here without getting sick.

Such a wonderful BBQ restaurant! The brisket was so incredibly tender and flavorful that I wished my stomach were bigger. To add to my problem, the sides were off the hook! Best corn chowder I have ever had, fried funeral potatoes speak for themselves, and that corn bread is next level. I cannot say enough great things about this place, and the staff was so incredibly friendly. It is most definitely going to be a regular lunching spot for me and my work buddies!
