This place is the best kept secret! It has THE best sourdough bread around. I consider myself a sourdough bread snob, and this place has beautiful loaves they make fresh daily. You have to get them pretty quickly out of the oven, or they go fast. The bread has a perfect sour taste that a lot of sourdough places lack. The bakers are friendly, and you can tell know what they are doing and put a lot of care into their loaves.

Best sourdough bread EVER! I grew up in the San Francisco bay area and we had some pretty amazing sourdough bakeries. I would put Apple Valley Sourdough right at the top of that list! Excellent flavor and texture, with a perfect crispy crust! I also love their sourdough wheat though they don't seem to be making it anymore.

If you like sourdough Apple Valley Sourdough is the BEST place to get it. If you don’t like sourdough you WILL after trying it here. The best time to go is around 1pm if you want fresh hot loaves before they sell out. They also have flavored whipped butters, sourdough pizza dough, cheesecake bites, cookies, Carrot and German chocolate cakes and slices and ready made sandwiches for lunch. Cheap prices. Closed Sundays and Mondays.

They only make it Wednesdays and Fridays. It makes amazing toast and next I'm going to try a grilled cheese sandwich with it. Good thing for my waistline that they are not right across the street from me!??
