During our recent trip from Bryce Canyon, we stumbled upon The Taj in Cedar City and were blown away. Melinda, our waitress, provided great service, ensuring our drinks and food arrived on time. The palak paneer, chicken tikka masala, cumin rice, and garlic naan were all delicious and arrived quickly. I highly recommend The Taj to anyone visiting Cedar City.Vegetarian options: Yes there wereParking: SpaciousKid-friendliness: Kid friendly

Was in town for 5 days and we all decided we would order Indian food and go pick it up. After the 4th time of calling they finally answered and said they weren't taking orders because the chef was to busy with a catering order...

We enjoyed our dinner experience. We ordered Chicken Tika Masala and Bombay Chicken with basmati rice and naan - it was delicious! The Chai tea was tasty, and our server was prompt and friendly.

Stay away!! Especially if you have allergies. I called in an hour in advance only to check if their Chicken tikka masala is nut-free and they said it is (asked 3 times out of paranoia). Yet, one bite in, my kid starts showing symptoms and throws up in the worst reaction he has had in months. Stick to just anything else you can find.

Man, I don't know what happened to this place. I put in an order at 4:30. Says it'll be available 5:25. Long time but whatever. Leave my house at 5:10 and get there between 5:20 and 5:25. The kid who's by himself is already helping another PO'd customer. Then he comes to me and I tell him I'm there for pickup. He goes back and comes back and says "sometimes the orders get lost." I made the order on THEIR OWN WEBSITE! Whatever. Kid says they'll go back and make it real quick. I'm upset but say no thanks, just give me a refund. I leave and I'm in a drive through elsewhere getting dinner and get a call at 5:50. Almost a half hour after my food was supposed to be ready and it's the owner. He asks "what do I want to do." I said I want my refund that I already told you I wanted. He says "you want a refund for the food we already made?" I said are you kidding me? It's a half hour AFTER it was supposed to be ready. And I told them cancel it before they ran back to try and make it afterwards. Well clearly their communication is just as bad inside the shop as it is on the website because these fools actually made it after I told them not to. Then the owner starts complaining about my refund. Then he had the nerve to say I was there at 5. 20 minutes earlier. I told him if I left my house at 5:10, how could I have been there at 5? Then I hear the kid in the background say I was there at 5 too. At that point I told them I'm just going to dispute the charge for a refund if that's the kind of operation they run over there.Unreal. Things happen. I was upset but still would've come back. But then he decided to call me a liar twice and refused to own up to the restaurants mistakes, and instead chose to blame us.Edit:Now the owner is texting me nonstop after I told him I don't want to speak with him. Just a refund. This guy even had the nerve to change the story and say my order was supposed to be ready by 6:25 and I was an hour and 5 minutes early. Unfortunately for him, he didn't realize their system sends out a confirmation text that says "5:25" and I sent it to him. Even telling him I don't want a credit or anything, I just want my refund. Still wouldn't take responsibility. Shocker.Edit 2:Not surprised he replied with a lie. One, I sent him a screenshot of the confirmation text with 5:25 as the pickup time. Weird that he's pretending he didn't receive it and see it. Two, I didn't curse at his staff. That poor kid in there looked overworked and that place looked understaffed. He was out of breathe from running back and forth and helping the other customer who also had an issue. I appreciate food staff. It's the owner who felt it appropriate to call me a half hour after my food was supposed to be ready and after I told them don't make it since I wasn't going to keep waiting, I just asked for a refund, the kid took my order number, said ok and that was it. But yes, after the owner called me a liar and wanted me to pay for food, I never received and refused to refund me, then I cursed at him and only him. Guy can lie all he wants but the text from his own system proved him wrong. Neither do my call logs. I have. 5:29 call to my wife made from their parking lot the minute I walked out to tell her they didn't make the order. I've uploaded and attached a picture of the text confirming the order time of 5:25pm, confirming the owner is wrong. And the email confirmation as well for good measure. But I appreciate the effort to gaslight everybody.

Decent Indian food outside india. It’s very costly comparatively, an Indian chai/ Tea costed almost $5. Garlic naan was very good and palak panner, dal makhani and chole was good. Ambience is good! Taste wise also good. As told earlier it’s costly. But if you want Indian food no other go.Vegetarian options: Good

Might be the best Indian food in Utah. Such great Tika Masala and appetizers. Could give some SLC restaurants a run for their money.

Beautiful food, the best naan we’ve ever eaten. Excellent service, our waiter was friendly, courteous and attentive. The food was incredibly delicious! We’re from Salt Lake City. The next time we come through Cedar City, we will definitely eat there again.

The service is trash, the employees are rude, and the food is disgusting. Don't waste your time or money. They have fake Google reviews.
