I was super excited to see a new location pop up. Very unimpressed. The drink counter was filthy. There was zero interaction with the employees. They sat our food out and didn't even call our name. The chicken in our dishes was dried out like jerky.
I love Cafe Rio but I’m not a fan of the impersonal kiosk concept. I like to talk to the associates instead of the computer. I always want something special the kiosk can’t give me. Today Abby took great care of me, she asked the chef to add this and that for me just like a full service store. Cafe Rio has it going on! Thanks Abby!

The new order-by-kiosk model is a classic example of corporate cost-cutting at the expense of customer experience. What was once a personable, zero-order-error, quick process is now cold/impersonable, more error-prone, and slow process. The kiosks at least doubled the amount of time from order to fulfillment.Bad enough that I'm done preferring Cafe Rio. Costa it is where possible from here on out.
