Just had a specialty coffee. Great place to hang for a bit with friends or a book

I really wanted to like this place. I went 3 times and each time my coffee was only 2/3 full. I won't be returning.

I've known about this cafe for a while but never went because I figured that if they couldn't come up with an original name, they were unlikely to come up with original or interesting drinks/food.That said, I was reasonably pleased with my experience. The baristas were lovely. The SLC Smog and almond croissant were quite good. I got the Maya chai for my partner because it was supposed to be the less sweet, more earthy and spicy chai but it was still extremely sweet. I suspect drinks being way too sweet may be a trend here as it is in most Utah cafes. The high ceiling and minimalist aesthetic makes it feel cold and loud in there, I tend to prefer cozy cafes. I'll definitely try it out again just for drinks but I'm unlikely to attempt working or reading there.

Food and beverage were fantastic. I didn't try a pastry but they looked really good as well. When we got there at 9:45 on a Saturday morning there was no line. But within minutes there was a long line. This place is popular for a reason.

If you're looking for a cup of coffee made by people who don't drink coffee, then this place is for you.

Open at 6 am—gr8 place to meet people. Musics not too loud/obnoxious. Bought a pound of whole bean for $17–which is a real decent price. I love that it’s actually 1lb and not 12oz like most bags you get these days. They threw in a free cup of coffee with my bean purchase, which was quite nice. People at the front were friendly and I could tell that they cared…not always the case these days =].

I ordered a small dirty chai, and waited over 20 minutes to receive it when there was one other person in front of me. There were three people behind me who not only got their order before me, but also got an extra order because they mixed up who made theirs. When I then got my order, it was supposed to be hot and the chai tea was maybe lukewarm. I will not be going back to this establishment.Dietary restrictions: I had to remind her to put almond milk in mine, because I have a dairy allergy.

This is the perfect spot for someone to stop on their way up the canyon, which is exactly what we did. The pumpkin spice Chai was so yummy and such a reasonable price for the size. The pumpkin spice latte was good but we couldn’t taste the pumpkin. The service was quick, the staff respectful and kind, and the atmosphere is very cozy.
