Really? The ambiance is a school cafeteria with the blinds drawn. The server acted as if she walked in the door five minutes before I did. But the best is this: buffalo tenderloin, $52. And what comes out is 4 slices of nicely cooked tenderloin with a good sauce. And that is it. Not a vegetable. Not a sprinkle of parsley. Not a starch. Just meat, at $13/slice. Each bite of meat was approximately $4. I wanted this to be good. Instead they slapped me in the face. Recently acquired by Black Desert, the mega resort across Snow Canyon. Details, guys, detailed. This was an insult. And you ask me now to come back? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Overpriced. Limited menu. No bread for the table. No soup offered. Only two dessert options???Disappointing in all ways, except for the service. The wait staff is excellent. This place has gone downhill since the change in chef and management.

I stayed at the resort for three nights - a girls' getaway package, which included hikes, food, spa service, and fitness classes. We took part in the adventure hike the first morning, and took the trip to Zion to hike The Narrows the next day, so we never got breakfast. The resort only offered sit-down breakfast, rather than buffet style, and we were leaving for early hikes and didn't have time to order/wait for breakfast. We did have a couple of lunches - the burrata salad was particularly good, but dinners were average. I had fish and chips one night and the fish was mushy and flavorless. Another dinner was a simple Cesar salad with chicken which was actually a garden salad (although the chicken was tender and flavorful) with some sort of vinaigrette dressing. I was too tired to complain having just spent all day hiking the river. A new bartender struggled to get drinks mixed and we ended up sending a couple of them back. Dirty plates and glasses weren't immediately cleared, so staff could be much more attentive in that way. It's those little details that leave a big impression. With a new resort/golf course being built near-by, the restaurant really needs to up their game.

We went to Canyon Breeze restaurant at the Red Mountain Resort last night with a party of 7. The whole evening was delightful. The menu has improved and the service was friendly, knowledgeable and because it was busy, it was timed and explained. The Cocktail menu was very creative and the wine and beer selection was very good. We had 2 dishes of shareable plates and the taste and presentation was worthy and delicious. The main course I had was the Salmon and it was beautifully presented, delicious and filling. We will be back….

We’re residents here in Ivins and have been here prior, never impressed. Came again for Sunday Brunch since The Black Desert Resort (coming soon) took over thinking things have improved. Not the case. Now we’re concerned over time the Black Desert will become worn out and fall into disrepair. The restaurant is in need of a total remodel. It’s worn out and tired. It over looks a garden that should showcase the beauty of whats around thisLocation. Instead it’s a version of someone’s back yard that no longer wants care for their yard. The food was another big disappointment. Ordered the Belgian waffle. Arrived cold. Syrup was cold. There were 6 blueberries and 4 raspberries perched on non dairy whipped topping.Ordered a mimosa and a bloody mary which came after the breakfast. We sent it back…..too late. While we sat and waited it would have been nice to enjoy our drinks-right?Not coming back here!!!

Restaurants at a resort. We were not staying at the resort. Prices for a little better if you were staying at the resort looks like I have some deals. The food was good. The service was good. You are paying a premium for the location.Vegetarian options: Lots of saladsDietary restrictions: They had dietary information on the menuParking: Free parking lotKid-friendliness: Not exactly kid friendly but you could take them.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs entering the facility

We always loved the dining experience at Canyon Breeze. However when they removed the buffet most of the plant based menu options went away. The black bean burger option was not good at all. There are better options out there for a plant based burger. Our hope is that the chef creates healthier menu options one day.

Very limited menu on Valentine's Day evening. Two appetizers, two salads, four entrees and teo deserts. My wife & I each had a salad and entree. Both were good, but not exceptional. I expected much, much better fare at the price point charged. This was my first time at Canyon Breeze as we were trying to expand our list of fine dining establishment in the St George area. I rate Aragosta, Xetava, Cliffside and Painted Pony far better than Canyon Breeze. Only the Wood Ash Rye would be a poorer choice. They may be understaffed, service was slow and uninspiring. To add insult, a service charge of 15 percent was added to a bill for two. Although I would have tipped between 15-20 percent, even for such inattentive service, I felt management's decision to automatically add a service charge to bills for small parties disgraceful.

Dinner was Exceptional. Chef prepared a divine hunk of salmon perfectly; served over wild rice. Very generous portion. Lovely, serene dining room space, sat near the coxy fireplace.

The food was incredible and so were the drinks. The restaurant music and design could be a bit better, and the food could come out a little quicker. We’ve been to restaurants that serve the same quality of food but a bit faster.

We enjoyed this place so much in January we were excited to return. What a disappointment to find the new chef made things much less enjoyable. What had been delicious fresh focaccia bread was toasted and fried. The salad was standard and boring. The ravioli also was oddly fried, with a very heavy sauce. We persisted on through dessert but the raspberry sabayon wasn't even a good flavor. Very dismayed at the change.
