I hate leaving such a bad review, but the service and experience was just terrible! First, we go in and wait there for five minutes before we choose to find someone ourselves so we can be seated. Then, we order and after 1hr 15 minutes of waiting fir our food, we just ended up asking our waitress for the check for the drinks.

Since retiring, I am not as much a slave to the minute hand on a clock as I once was. The two key words in the first sentence are "as much." Three of us arrived with the hour hand on our clocks closer to the 12 than the One on a Saturday and had to look for someone to seat us. The person we found was friendly and pleasant. After seating us there was a lengthy wait before we received menus with chips and salsa; our order was taken at this time also - food and drinks. Chips and salsa were, in our opinion, tasty, and in actuality, fully consumed quite quickly. Sometime later, same day, with the hour hand past the 1, our drinks arrived. We chatted awhile, covering many valuable topics, with each of us avoiding any mention of show service, the person who had seated us, taken our order, brought us chips, salsa and drinks was, after all pleasant and friendly. Still the same day, hour hand still in the space between the One and the Two, our food was delivered by someone who didn't seem happy to be there, but we all have bad days - right. My go to at Mexican Restaurants is always the Beans first - these were amazing! Never had better! My Chili Verde Burrito was flavorful with grade A (I'm not a meat expert, but I mean to say the meat was excellent) cuts of pork. The two diners with me also commented that their food was tasty, but one also commented that their food was only lukewarm when it arrived. I would love to see Banquitas put a focus on their service - I would return often if that end of things improved. As I said, I don't put much emphasis on the hour hand of the clock and I don't know exactly how long we were there - only that it was too long, with too little attention given during the wait.

Don't eat here. I waited 40 minutes for 2 soft tacos. There were only 2 other tables seated in the whole place. Beef tongue was gamy and brisket just about pulled my teeth out. Left 90% on plate and left.

A good family owned authtitc Mexican restaurant. Since we found it we have been here two other times. Wasn't to busy and food was good and really friendly service.

Really good fresh salsa . The street tacos were excellent. The Al Pastor & Asada were my favorite. My hubby had carne asada steak which was excellent with the grilled onions and jalepeño pepper. The rice was good. The texture of the beans was good but they were bland and needed salt. Other than that the meal and service were great.

Stay away! 30 minute wait for food. We're the only customers in the restaurant. Ordered lunch chimichangas. They were mainly filled with beans? New to me. Beans and rice were cold cold enough that the shredded cheese wouldn't melt. The chips were stale but the salsa wasn't bad, could've been thicker. If you're craving good Mexican, go somewhere else.

Very good locally owned mexican restaurant. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Service was quick and very friendly. We will be back.

We stopped by this place in a Saturday afternoon. We had a wonderful waitress, her name was Brandy! Our food was amazing. You could tell this was freshly cooked not something just rewarmed. The red salsa is amazing. We even bought some to take home. My husband lived their green salsa which was hotter. But this was an amazing place and we will definitely be coming back.

This place is pretty new and it’s decorated very fun/well. The food is super yummy and this family parrillada was awesome! They have light karaoke which is pretty cool. It’s a little hidden so there aren’t a lot of people here. But I’m pleased with my experience!

We went in for lunch. We were the only patrons when we arrived and the only ones when we left. How does the rent get paid on this level of business? The food was certainly authentic, but some of the authentic places in Mexico are not tasty. This place is THAT. Service was nada. Actually, we loved the atmosphere. If these folks would get their act together and make their chow tasty it should go like gangbusters. As is, there is no way this joint will make it.

They are right just a hot skip and a jump away from my office the fast friendly service is amazing and you can always count on them to have your food ready when they say it will be

I had the Chile verse burrito and it was really good. The retried beans were seriously some of the best I have ever had. The service was great. Not real busy so it was like we had the whole place to ourselves. Karaoke on Fridays.

We tried this restaurant because the previous place here was fantastic. The lighting in the restaurant is so dim you need a light to read the menus. The food was ok at best. We were told it took so long to get chips because they were made fresh. They showed at the table cold and not very good. The karaoke was so loud we could not talk while the music played. We asked for it to be turned down the waitress went over and the music was never lowered. The waitress was slow but good. She did ask how we were doing repeating the music was extremely load. She apologized and would take off to the singer again. Our order arrived sort of slowly and the chili Verde was just flat cold. The flavor was ok but very little meat. More of a bean and rice burrito. The tea is not fresh even though we were told it was. This place could be great with better leadership, and listening to the customers

It’s Friday night, the place is mostly empty. Covid has hurt this business, like most businesses. We love Mexican food, but this place takes forever to get the food... and the waitress was very kind, but forgot about us many times: refill drinks, checking in on our cold food ( supposed to be hot) , and getting the check was a 20 minute wait... again no one here.
